Paid in Full by Jesus
Reminder to self: "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." 2 Corinthians 5: 21 ---- Imagine treating yourself to a nice meal at a fancy restaurant. After you've finished your meal, you ask for the bill. The maitre d' tells you your bill has already been taken care of. "But that's impossible!" you say. "No one knew I was coming here!" "Someone has paid for your meal, madame, including the gratuity," he says. "There's nothing for you to pay." You now have a choice. You can accept this free gift and be grateful to your anonymous donor or you can refuse their gift and insist on paying for the meal as you don't accept charity.
