The Hand

"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." John 10: 10 ---- At Christmas, believers celebrate the birth of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.  On the 31 October aka Halloween, people celebrate Satan aka the devil and his demons. A lot of people believe the devil doesn't exist and think it's just harmless fun dressing up in demonic costumes, but they don't realise they're playing with fire and invoking evil spirits and dark entities.  If the devil and his minions didnt exist, Jesus wouldn't have talked  so much about the devil during His ministry.  In fact, Jesus said He came to restore what the devil had stolen. (John 10: 10) I no longer celebrate Halloween. If I want to dress up in costume, I either do so at a convention or when I am required to do so in a film production. The story below (Previously posted on Facebook) occurred in 2013. Even thou...

God Loves Me

Image
"He who does not love does not know God, for God is love." 1 John 4: 8 ---- On my way to work, I noticed this woman, walking in front of me, was wearing a white jacket. At the back of it were the words "Love" printed about 20 times. Just as I was overtaking her I said to her, "I love your jacket. It's nice to see so much love." "Thank you," she said. "We all need love, right?"  "We certainly do," I said. At work, I noticed a colleague with a fleece that was covered with love hearts. I told her I had just seen a woman with a love jacket and now I am seeing her fleece covered in love hearts. She told me she had just bought the fleece before she came to work. It got me thinking of real love, God's love. God, the Father, loved us so much, He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us so we can be redeemed and be reconciled to Him. Jesus, who is also God, loved us so much that He became the sacrificial lamb for us. He t...

Ten Year Anniversary

Image
On this day, ten years ago, my mum, Isa, left her body and her spirit and soul went to be with the Lord. While I know mum loved me, she loved Jesus Christ a zillion times more and I know she's with Him. I was devastated when Isa "left" as she was not only my mum, she was my cook, stylist, banker, teacher, sparring partner and friend. The best legacy that Isa left me was her love for the Lord. When I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, He healed my broken heart. Thank you, Isa, for playing the role of my mum and for sharing your love of Jesus Christ with me. We are now forever sisters-in-Christ. I know that one day we will be reunited, but there is no rush as I also know that even if I lived for a thousand years, when we meet again, it would be like you only saw me a moment ago. (2 Peter 3: 8) Thank you, Lord, for giving me Isa. ❤️ ---- Related Bible verses: "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who c...

The Lord Never Changes

Image
"For I am the Lord, I change not." Malachi 3: 6 ---- It's a new day and a new venue. Today, I'm working at Covent Garden (CG) in central London.  When I was in my twenties, I used to hang out a lot with friends at CG  enjoying the pubs and shops. Since then, a lot of the old shops have gone and been replaced by new trendy ones. And yet, the market and the buildings around  CG remain the same. I believe the changing shops represent different generations and ages while the buildings and market represent the Lord who never changes. "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Hebrews 13: 8 Blessings to all. ♥️

Salvation is in the Continuous Present

"Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure." Philippians 2: 12-13 ---- One thing I've realised is while Jesus saved us two thousand years ago, it's not enough to just accept your salvation once. Salvation is in the continuous present. In other words, because Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever, the Lord's benefits in Psalm 103: 1-5 is for yesterday, today and forever; and The Lord’s Prayer  (Matthew 6: 9-13) is for yesterday, today and forever. Now every day, I thank God for saving me. His salvation includes his blessings,  forgiveness, grace, healing, joy, love, peace, power, protection, provision, truth and wholeness. While I was out walking, I tripped on the pavement and almost fell flat on my face  but the Lord ...

Forsaking All for Jesus

Before I had my hair cropped in 1992, I mulled over that decision for a whole year. While the hairdresser was cutting my hair, she looked at my reflection on the mirror and must have noticed the horror on my face. She told me if I wasn't sure, she could just do short back and sides and leave a bit of hair on top. I agreed with her.  The next day, I went to another hairdresser and asked them to take everything off. I haven't regretted that decision. In the same respect, before I arrived at the point where I could share my Christian faith in public, I mulled over it for over a year. I haven't looked back since. What can I say, I am a deep thinker. 😀 ------- Posted on.Facebook -14.8.2021 Friends, In case you haven't noticed, after a lot of soul searching, I have converted to Orthodox - Bible based - Christianity. By this I mean confessing myself as a sinner and that Jesus Christ died for my sins and by faith and grace I have accepted Jesus as my personal saviour. This mea...

What is Christianity?

"Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 5: 1 "I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13: 5 ---- Christianity is not a religion, denomination, or theology. Christianity is man's personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.  This means my relationship with God is constant wherever I am and whatever I am doing whether I am  being still, praying, praising God, reading the Bible, meditating on the Scriptures, in church, on public transport, at work, with friends, at home, browsing the Internet, taking a walk by myself and in my dreams.  That's what makes me a Christian and a woman of God. I give thanks to Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour, who is forever in and with me. ❤️

Secret to Eternal Youth and Eternal Life

I believe the secret to eternal youth and eternal life is believing in Jesus Christ and that He lives in you (John 11: 25, Galatians 2: 20) and He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13: 8).  Jesus is the secret to eternal youth and eternal life. ❤️ ----- "Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die." John 11: 25-26 "I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me." Galatians 2: 20 "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever." Hebrews 13: 8,

I am Spirit

While I was travelling on the bus, I had two bags of shopping on the empty seat beside me. At one point when the bus suddenly lurched forward, the bags fell to the floor, almost hitting the passenger sitting in front of me.I apologised to the passenger and picked up the bags from the floor. It got me thinking that if I had been suddenly thrown forward, I would have automatically reached out to grab hold of the rail or a passenger to prevent myself from falling. However,  because the bags of shopping have no power or intelligence they immediately fell to the floor. If I wasn't there to pick the bags up, they would have remained on the floor. I thought about cars which need a person or an intelligence inside to drive them.  I believe our bodies are rather like cars. It is our spirits that give our bodies life.  I also believe the life we give our bodies depend on whether our spirits are born again or not.  (John 3: 3) By born again, I mean those who have accepted Je...

Jesus Christ, the Conductor

Image
"I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.," Psalm 32: 8 "Oh, magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together." Psalm 34: 3 ---- Whenever I watch a classical concert, my attention is always focused on the conductor.  I love how they are in command of all the musicians. Because the conductor knows the musical piece inside out, he knows exactly when to bring different musicians in. Of course, those musicians must be willing to submit to and trust in the conductor to lead them. Where there is a lack of trust, there is disharmony.  I believe Jesus Christ is the Conductor of my life experiences. When I trust in Him, He let's me know when it's time to play my instrument and when to rest. Here's an example. Earlier today, I read a friend's post on Facebook about how she is still struggling with letting go of the last images of her mum before she passed away. As I have had a similar experience, I c...

I Abide in Christ

Image
"I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness." John 12: 46 "Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing." John 15: 4-5 Thank you, Holy Spirit, for helping me to create this Image. I never knew you were such an expert at using PowerPoint. 😄❤️ (Christ Image courtesy of Google Images)

Only the Lord Jesus Can Fill in the Gaps

I went to the phone shop to ask an engineer about an issue. While I was there, I asked her what the new version of my phone now looks like. She showed me the phone and said the camera on it is a lot more superior to mine. She also showed me how you can now use AI to edit your photos. If you want to remove something from a photo, the AI will replace the background with an object it thinks should be logically there. I told the engineer I wasn't keen on that idea.  She said some people like that feature and others don't. As a fan of Star Trek, I believe AI is perfectly acceptable in science ficttion, but in my reality, I'm not having an AI filling in the gaps of my life experiences, thank you very much! The only One who I have authorised to fill in my life experiences is the Lord Jesus Christ. ❤️ ---- "For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily;  and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power." Colossians 2: 9-10

Giving Up Everything for Christ

I have been reading a book called "In Search of the True Light" by Mike Shreve. (See link below).  It's one of the best books I've come across. It explains perfectly why you can't mix Christianity with other religions and spiritual disciplines.  I can so relate to it. As a former Truth seeker, I studied various religions and spiritual disciplines including the New Age, New Thought etc. I practiced meditation and had lots of interesting spiritual experiences.  I also trained in various spiritual healing techniques.  When I became a born-again Christian, I realised I had to give up everything for Christ.  I even deleted 40 blogs where I shared my spiritual experiences.  Thank you, Jesus, for bringing this book to my attention.  ❤️ ---- "Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the...

Dying in Your Sleep

Image
"The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." John 10: 10 ---- Whenever I hear that someone passed away in their sleep, I see it as a spiritual attack.* I have been attacked three times in my "sleep" and had to fight to stay alive. The first time, I felt a hand trying to strangle me. I fought valiantly, but the hand was too strong. In desperation, I thought of a line from Psalm 23: 4 "Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil." The hand immediately left me and I could breathe again. The second time it happened, I felt the hand pushing the blanket over my face and I couldn't breathe. Again, I thought of the line from Psalm 23, but it didn't.  I thought of several Bible verses I had memorised, but the hand only got stronger. I then thought, "Help me, God."  The hand instantly left me. The third an...

Jesus Revealing Himself

"Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." John 14: 6 "for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’" Acts 17: 28 ---- The other day, while I was lying in the bath, I was meditating on what life is. I thought that which most people think is life is not real life at all. Jesus is the only Life there is.  Anyone who lives and believes in Jesus get to experience His life, which is eternal. (John 11: 26; John 14: 19) The moment you believe you have your own life, then you're living a fantasy life which you can even choose to end at any time. I must have been soaking in the bath for about an hour.  Later, as I was getting dressed, I put on the UK God channel on my laptop. There was this man teaching from the Bible. He said, "What is life?" It was as if he was looking directly at me. He then cited the following passage ...

I Walk in Christ

"As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him," Colossians 2: 6 "And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.” John 11: 26 ---- I woke up around 5am this morning to use the toilet. As I was getting out of my bed, I suddenly felt cramp in my right calf. I immediately called on Jesus and acknowledged that I not only live in Him, I walk in Him. The pain melted away as I walked in Chrisr to the toilet. I walk in Jesus Christ where there is no pain. ❤️

Grace in Action

"And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ." John 1: 16-17 "Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord," 2 Peter 1 :2 --- Our Lord Jesus not only revealed God as the Father, He embodied God's Grace. Grace is not earned, nor do you receive it because you deserve it.  God's goodness and mercy are given by grace through Jesus Christ.  As Grace pours on you, you are inspired to extend grace and unmerited favours to others . Before I got on the tube, I checked how much money I  had left on my Oyster card. I noticed this woman on the next ticket machine trying to get a ticket with her bank card, but nothing csme out. I asked if I could help her. I told her she needed to get an Oyster card first and then top up the card. I also said she didn't need to buy an Oyster card, she could just use her debit card to travel. I su...

Forever Green

Image
"Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." Hebrews 13: 8 ------ Although I love all trees, the trees I can relate to the most are  the evergreen trees which never change. I am forever green in Christ. ❤️ Photo of a tree I took.in north London.
