The Prodigal Daughter Returns

"By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible."  Hebrews 11: 3 ----- I believe everything which is seen comes from the unseen realm. When your faith is only in that which is seen, you get more of the same.  When your faith is on the unseen, then the unseen manifests as your reality. A week ago, while I was cooking some chips (fries) in the oven, the back of my hand rubbed against the oven. At first, I didn't give it any thought, but when it started hurting I realised I had burnt myself. I prayed for the pain to stop and it did, but it was obvious from the texture of my skin that it was burnt. I reminded myself that by Jesus' stripes, I am already healed. (2 Peter 2: 24). However, I was busy focusing on the mark on my hand (the seen).  On one bus journey, this woman sat next to me. We got chatting about our faith. She said she was raised as a Catholic, but she no longe...

"Now faith is the [a]substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."  Hebrews 11: 1 ---- In my dream, I was holding this huge carton of milk. I then thought to myself that I hope I didn't spill it. The carton instantly fell to the floor and split open. I apologised to the person I was with and grabbed a cloth to clean the floor. When I woke up, I pondered over the meaning of the dream. I realised it's about hope. The other day,  at work I thought to myself:  "I hope X doesn't happen."   What I was hoping doesn't happen did happen. That's the power of hope.  Whenever I hope for something or hope something doesn't happen it still does. The lesson in that dream is to always hope for what I want to happen. 

"Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 5: 1 "I will never leave you nor forsake you.” Hebrews 13: 5 ---- Christianity is not a religion, denomination, or theology. Christianity is man's personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ.  This means my relationship with God is constant wherever I am and whatever I am doing whether I am  being still, praying, praising God, reading the Bible, meditating on the Scriptures, in church, on public transport, at work, with friends, at home, browsing the Internet, taking a walk by myself and in my dreams.  That's what makes me a Christian and a woman of God. I give thanks to Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour, who is forever in and with me. ❤️

For a couple of years now, someone has been courting me. I have been keeping him at arms length as I've been very wary of getting into a relationship with him. A couple of weeks ago, I finally decided to take a leap of faith nd agreed to enter into a serious relationship with him. So far, so good! Windows 11 is alright actually! I should have downloaded it a long time ago on my laptop. They must have ironed out any issues they had. I bet you all thought I was referring to a bloke, didn't you? 😆

The other day, I was having a conversation with a work colleague, who is also a Christian. I told him people who know me tend to think I'm weird because of the way I think.  My colleague said someone who is truly a disciple of Christ is perceived as weird by the world because they don't think like people of the world.  I told him my mum once told me she didn't see me as human, she classified me as "something else" because of the way I think. Today I was chatting to my flatmate and some friends about pain and pain relief. My flatmate said to me "you don't get pain, do you? You have Jesus." That made me laugh. "I do get pain, and yes, I have Jesus. Jesus is my painkiller." That's why people find me weird because Jesus is my everything. ❤️

"As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were." Romans 4: 16-17 ---- I believe God creates by calling forth that which doesn't exist into existence.  He calls light in darkness. He calls forth health where there is sickness. He calls forth life, where there is death. I believe all sons and daughters of God, who have been made in the image and likeness of God, are meant to create in the sane way. This morning, while my flatmate's cat', Zeus, was having a snuggle on my bed, I chatted to him out loud. I told him how much I loved him and what a good boy he was. I told him he was loved and safe and there was no need to be frightened when the postman drops a letter or if someone he doesn't know pops round. I told him he was a very calm cat. Later, my flatmate took him to the vet to have some medication. When they returned,  I ask...

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Psalm 46: 1 "It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man." Psalm 118: 8 "For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord." Jeremiah 30: 17 "But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” Luke 18: 2 ---- I had to call the hospital on behalf of a loved one. The department I called never answered the phone. I kept calling, but there was no response. I then called the hospital's switchboard. It took ages for me to get through to an operator. When someone finally answered my call,  l asked them to put me through to an alternative number at the department, but still nothing. I became so frustrated, I called the switchboard again and asked to be put through to the hospital's complaints department. Of course, no one answered the phone. They asked callers to leave a message, which I did. It got me wondering ...

Out of interest, I asked her what she was going to have with the rice and she said she was going to have some of our stew.  We laughed at her and reminded her that rent does not include free food. Isaiah 65: 24 ---- After my aunt's funeral, my brother drove a few of us to the community centre where the reception was taking place. By the time we arrived, there were no free parking spaces available. I silently thanked God for a parking space. My brother suggested for the three of us to go in and reserve a table and he and his friend would scout the local neighbourhood for a parking space. When we entered the community centre, I went to use the toilet. It was then I realised I'd been there recently. Just two months ago, I discovered this place called Woodberry Down with a  reservoir and nature reserve  which I explored. I even took some photos. I then noticed this community centre which had a library. I went in and charged my phone. I even used their toilet. Little did I know that in two months time, I would be attending a reception for my aunt at the same comm...

I asked a friend if she knew where I could get some and she suggested a haberdashery, but I don't know any close to where I live. On the way home, I popped into the local chemist and asked if they sold elastic bands. The assistant pointed to elastic hairbands. I told him I wanted it to for my trousers. He said they didn't stock those. I was inspired to try the ironmongers next door, but I thought nah, expecting them to sell elastic is a bit of a stretch. 😀 Today, I was in the area again...

  Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you;" Psalm 55: 22 ---- In this reality TV show I was watching about buying and selling property, one client was upset after sacking her agent. The new agent said to the seller: "I'm going to take this over. I don't want you to stress about it." The seller visibly relaxed or at least appeared to be. The new agent then sold the property. It got me thinking, why is it so easy for people to trust their estate agents, but they have difficulty trusting in the all knowing and all powerful God? I must confess I still find it hard having complete faith in God. Whilel I surrender my cares, I still worry about the outcome. Father God, thank you for helping me trust You with all my affairs in Jesus name.

The agent told me that I would be required to accompany the kids to forest school where nature is their classroom. She asked me to bring my wellies for that session.  I don't have wellies as I always avoid muddy paths and grass when I go for my walks. I decided to take a pair of old boots I have, which I won't mind getting muddy. Before I went to the school, I prayed for God to make my day in that class easy, fun and wonderful. The morning session was easy and fun with the kids. I had an early lunch which was free, one of the perks for working at this school. In the afternoon, the teacher for the forest school class briefed me about what was expected of me. After seeing the bo...

I was chatting to some Christian friends about faith. I said I don't trust my faith or any human faith as it's never consistent. By this I mean, sometimes I have faith that God will come through and other times I doubt it. Sometimes I have faith in people amd other times I don't. I believe when I have faith in God's faithfulness, which is constant and rock solid, then it matters not how I am feeling. God’s faithfulness rules. Since our conversation, I've been humming the hymn., "Great is Thy Faithfulness."
