The Prodigal Daughter Returns

As I'm working outside today for a few hours, I've called upon an old friend (my hat) to help keep me warm.  God's blessings last forever.  ❤️

After my friend invited me to her church wedding, I started thinking about what to wear. I didn't think I had anything suitable in my wardrobe. It would mean buying something new.  I had an idea to ask my flatmate if she had anything I could borrow for a wedding. She showed me a few dresses for me to consider. which didn't fit or looked right. Finally, she brought out this dress with glitter. I knew it was the One. When I tried it on, it fit perfecly. I also had sandals with glitter to go with the dress. (On the day of the wedding, I decided to wear ankle boots instead). My flatmate also thought I needed to wear a bracelet which she loaned me. I already had the right earrings to go with the bracelet. (See photo below) My flatmate also gave me a hand bag as a gift which  I thought would go perfectly with my coat. Next, what to get my friend as a wedding gift in my budget. I could get vouchers so she can buy what she wants. The day before the wedding, I had an idea to check this...

"for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’" Acts 17: 28 ---- While I was working at this arts shop, I was on my feet for several hours and my feet were aching. I reminded myself that I live, move and have my being in God, and God is Love. (1 John 4: 8) In other words, I am standing and walking in Love and Love doesn’thurt. About half an hour before my shift ended, this beautiful cat called Honey walked in. Apparently, she's become a regular as she accompanies her human mummy who visits the shop from time to time.  Honey was so sweet and affectionate, she loved everyone she met in the shop. I fell in love with her.  While I was cooing over Honey, I forgot about my aching feet. In fact, my feet were no longer aching. Thank you, God, for sending Your sweet love in the form of Honey. ❤️ Here are some photos I took of Honey

I haven't had a sardine omelette in a long time. Made one today. Enjoyed it. Thank you, God, for your provision. ❤️

"Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you." Luke 6: 28 ---- While I was on the first tube, I thanked God for His infinite Grace.  I had to change to another line. I was grateful to find empty seats in that tube. I sat down.  While the doors were still open, this man got on and he said, ^I hope you all die of XXX." (I won't mention the actual disease). After that he got off. He was smirking at us through the window. I reckon he was looking  for a reaction, but everyone ignored him. The doors closed and we were off. I decided to share some of the Grace I had asked God for earlier with my friend and blessed him in my thoughts.  I have also added him on my prayer list.  Thank you, God, for your infinite Grace. ❤️

At this venue I was working at, I got chatting to a colleague from the same agency. It turns out we had both been working at the same museum for several months, but we'd never met. We even attended their office party, but I was wearing a wig at the time. When I told her I was the one who was dragged on stage to dancee, she remembered me then. She said she recently left  her role. I told her I had left as well. After we finished our shift, I asked my colleague how her day had gone. She said it was very easy. We did less for more money compared to our last job. It got me thinking of this verse from the Bible: "The blessing of the Lord brings wealth without painful toil for it." Proverbs 10: 22, NIV I give thanks for the blessing of the Lord. ❤️

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."  2 Corinthians 1: 3-6 ----- At this historical place I was working at, I had to patrol several rooms and ensure everything was tickety-boo. I noticed one visitor lying on a chaise longue. While visitors can sit on the furniture, I wasn't sure whether they could lie on them. I asked one staff and he said they weren't allowed, unless the visitor wasn't feeling well.  I went over and asked the visitor, who was now sitting up, if she was feeling okay. She told me she was feeling really hot. She and her friend were from New York and they were not used to being in buildings that didn't have airconditioning alhough there were fans around thre building.  I loaned her my hand fan which helped to keep her c...

"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Philippians 4: 190 ---- When I saw my flatmate, I told her I was finding the weather too hot to go out and I was running out of food. She asked me what I was going to eat. I said I had some eggs so  I was going to make an omelette and have it with baked beans. She told me she had some potatoes and I was welcome to one or two.  I remembered I had a can of tuna,but I didn't have any mayonnaise.  She told me I could have some of hers. She also gave me some sweet corn. Within half an hour I was having a jacket potato with tuna mayonnaise and sweet corn. Later my flatmate popped out to see our neighbour.  She returned with a pair of leggings from her neighbour. Apparently, our neighbour has never worn it.  As it was too small for my flatmate.  She asked me to try it on to see if it fit. It did fit, but it was slightly short. I could wear it with boots. My flatmate then went...

I usually listen to music on YouTube. I decided to add a particular song on my playlist on my Spotify account only to discover that all the songs on my playlist had been erased.  It must have happened when I downloaded the new Windows 11 on my laptop. Oh well, I will just have to build a new playlist. Sometimes, you need to let go of the old and let in new blessings. Thank you, Lord! ❤️ Edit: God just showed me how to synchronise my songs from the app to my laptop so I got my old songs back. ❤️

God's blessings take many different forms. At the staff restaurant,  I bought two toasts, banana and two tubs of magazine for the princely sum of 65p. What a bargain! ❤️

When I arrived home, I notced my flatmate had just finished heating some pepperoni pizza. She asked me if I wanted a few slices and I said yes. She apologised that the pizza was overdone. I agreed it wasn't the best, but I still had the slices and was grateful. The next day, I was off work. A friend texted me. After a series of long funny exchanges, we arranged to meet up so he could take me out for lunch. When we met, I told him I fancied some pizza. He took me to this nice pizza place, which had even won awards. I had a pepperoni pizza and it was the best I've ever had. My portion was so large, I asked for a doggie bag to take the rest with me, which I gave to my flatmate. She said the pizza was amazing. Thank you, God, for your many blessings. ❤️

"By faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made of things which are visible.' Hebrews 11: 2 ----- On the bus, I noticed this woman sitting on the opposite side with her foot on the seat. As I didn't want to ask her to remove her seat, I asked God to bless everywhere on the bus with love. The first thing I noticed wa she removed her seat and tossed her white cardigan on the seat. Then she put on her cardigan and stretched her foot but thus time she kept her foot off the seat. Everything comes from the spirit. If you want to change an environment in a positive way, it has to be done from the spirit. ❤️

After work, I have to walk through this park to the tube station. At the park gate, I noticed a woman sitting on the ground begging passersby for money. She had a sign saying "I am very hungry. God bless you." I'm sure Ive seen her there before, but today I felt compelled to buy her some food.  I went to a local shop, which sells topnotch sandwiches.  I then asked the Lord which one to get. I also got a fruit juice and a chocolate bar for dessert. When I returned to the park gate, the woman wasn't there. I asked a guy with a kiosk close by if he'd seen the woman. He said she must have popped out somewhere as her stuff was still there. I asked him if I could leave the bag of food with him, but he suggested I put the food in the woman's bag, which I did. I am actually glad the woman wasn't there as my ego might have been tempted to take credit for the idea. It's much more wonderful for her to turn up and find a bag of food next to her "I am very ...

James 1: 17 ---- Usually while I am at work, I keep a packet of mints or sweets in the pocket of my trousers which I share with my colleagues. Yesterday I had a packet of sweets which  come in different colours ,(See link of the brand below).  While I was invigilating my section of the gallery, I kept thinking about offering a sweet to my colleague on the other side. When it was a lot quiter, I  walked over to her and asked her if she would like a sweet. As no foods and drinks are allowed in the gallery, we had to be very discreet. After she saw the brand, she told me  she had been thinking that the installation she was looking after reminded her of that particular brand of sweets. "There you go then," I said. How wonderful to see an Easter egg in the form of a sandwich. I bought one for myself and another for my flatmate. (My flatmate loved the idea of it). The Fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5: 22) includes self-control. Self-control  is going to make me wait till Easter to open my Easter Egg sandwich. "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:" Ephesians 1: 3 ---- When I woke up this morning, I logged on to this UK Christian channel on my laptop to watch some pastors I enjoy watching early on Sunday morning. The pictures were coming through, but there was no sound. I checked the app on my phone and it had the same issue.  I decided to watch the American and African versions instead, which were working just fine. I believe God's spiritual blessings in Christ are constantly available. If we are not receiving them, the problem is never the Source, but our receptors which could be our false beliefs. There was obviously a receptor problem on the UK Christian channel that was preventing UK viewers from receiving the sound. I still received God's blessings through the American and African Christian channels. I give thanks for God's spiritual blessings in heavenly places...

Spock, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds  ----- I didn't bother chasing after Black Fridays deals.  Good deals are always available anyway. My SIM only contract was about to expire. I was offered a deal by a union I belong to which I can redeem from another mobile network who are offering a SIM only deal for £14 a month. I  asked my mobile network if they could match it. They couldn't, but gave me a good offer. I've  now gone from paying £25 a month to £14 a month which is great. I was  going to stay with my mobile network anyway as they are the best in the UK. Psalm 37: 4-5 ---- I used to attend an event called Open House London every year. The event, which took place around the second weekend in September, was an opportunity for lovers of architecture to visit buildings which are not usually open to the public. Tours were organised for visitors to explore various buildings. Six years ago, I applied to become a volunteer for Open House London, but on the day I was really ill and couldn't do it. Since then, I've been receiving constant emails from them inviting me to volunteer for favourite events, but I've not been able to commit to any. This afternoon, my church  hosted an Open House London event for visitors to explore the building, including the dome. My friend told me she was volunteering for the event. Yesterday, another work colleague had an unexpected visit from Aunty Flow and asked me if I had any sanitary towels. I gave her my "just in case" sanitary towel that I had in my handbag. I told her I gave one towel to another colleague the day before. I said I always carry one even though I no longer have periods. I'm going to continue to carry a sanitary towel in my handbag, just in case.  Thank you, God, for blessing me so I can be a blessing to others. ❤️ A photo of a "just in case" sanitary towel I carry in my handbag.

Although I haven't had a period in over two years, I always carry a sanitary towel in whichever handbag I am carrying, just in case.  Today, that "just in case" moment happened. Alas, it wasn't for me, but for a work colleague who had an unexpected visit from Aunty Flow.  When I gave her the sanitary towel, she asked me why I was still carrying a sanitary towel if I no longer needed them. I told her it was for that just in case moment. I've just put another sanitary towel in my handbag, just in case. 😊❤️
