Happy Father's Day!

"The Lord has appeared of old to me, saying: “Yes, I have loved you with an everlasting love; Therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you." Jeremiah 31: 3 ---- Just recently when I woke up, I could feel someone's arms around me. It felt very real and masculine. I knew it was the Lord’s arms around me. A few days later, I wanted to have that experience again so when I woke up I asked God to give me a hug. Although I knew God was giving me a hug, it didn't feel tangible like the last time. I then turned my  laptop on and logged on to a Christian channel I like watching. I then closed my eyes. Suddenly I saw a vision of a little girl lying in bed and being hugged by their dad. The girl was giggling and looked very happy. It was then I realised that the vision I was being shown represents me and my relationship with my Father God. I asked for a hug and He showed me a vision of our relationship.  I don't remember ever having that kind of relationship with my human ...

Grace in Action

"And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ." John 1: 16-17 "Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord," 2 Peter 1 :2 --- Our Lord Jesus not only revealed God as the Father, He embodied God's Grace. Grace is not earned, nor do you receive it because you deserve it.  God's goodness and mercy are given by grace through Jesus Christ.  As Grace pours on you, you are inspired to extend grace and unmerited favours to others . Before I got on the tube, I checked how much money I  had left on my Oyster card. I noticed this woman on the next ticket machine trying to get a ticket with her bank card, but nothing csme out. I asked if I could help her. I told her she needed to get an Oyster card first and then top up the card. I also said she didn't need to buy an Oyster card, she could just use her debit card to travel. I su...

My Father Knows My Needs

"Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you."  Matthew 6: 31-33 ---- During my bus journey, the bus driver announced that there was a problem with the bus. She asked all of us to get off at the next stop and get on the bus in front. A passenger who hadn't heard the announcement asked me what was going on. I told her we had to get off and get on the next bus. As I was getting off, I tapped this young girl, who had her earbuds on and wasn't aware of what was going on. I told her we had to get off. Once everyone was off the bus, the bus driver walked to  the empty bus in front, opened the door and told us to get on. She said we didn't need to scan our passes. In the Bible, Jesus tells His believe...

Seeing My Shine

"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.   Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." Matthew 5: 14-16 ---- When I mentioned to a colleague at school that I also work on TV and films, she said "No Wonder you look so sophisticated. You have a shine about you." "My shine has nothing to do with working on set," I said. "God is the one who makes me shine." As a believer, she got where I was coming from. A while back, when I had a meeting at this government office, I noticed a security guard was shining. On the way out, I walked over to him and said, "Hello, man of God!" "How do you know?" He said. "Because you are shining." He told me while he was standing on guard, he ...

All Closed Doors are Now Open

"Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts." Zechariah 4: 6 "Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom." Luke 22: 3 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:" Ephesians 1: 3 "Let us therefore be diligent to enter that rest, lest anyone fall according to the same example of disobedience." Hebrews 4: 11 ---- So I went to this museum to use their reading room. I was also hoping to see a friend who works there in security, as I haven't seen her in a while. As soon as I entered tjhe building, I noticed my friend standing next to the disabled lift. People who have kids in buggies also use that lift.  After my friend and I exchanged hugs, she told me the lift door wasn't working properly and she couldn't open the door. Immediately,  I thought, "God, please fix the lift. T...

Father Knows Our Needs

"Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." ---- I had arranged to meet up with a friend I haven't seen in a while at his place. On the way I wondered whether to buy something to eat or not. When I arrived, my friend provided some bread and sandwich fillings and some snacks and drinks. After our meeting, he drove me to the closest tube station. I was really grateful. The next day, during the bus journey, the driver kept stopping and waiting at bus stops. Each time he waited, he announced to passengers that he had been asked to stop to regulate the service and apologised for any inconvenience caused. When I got off that bus, I was really grateful to see my next bus was right behind so I didn't have ...

Father Provides Free Lunch

"Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Matthew 6: 33 ---- On the way to the school I was working at today, I wondered whether they had shops close by to get a sandwich for lunch.  I had to ask for directions as what was being shown on the Google Map was totally differemt in reality. Fortunately, the woman I asked was familiar with the area and the school I was going to. She even pointed out local shops I could go to to get my lunch. When I arrived at the school, I waa told we only have half an hour for lunch. I figured by the time I walk to the shops and back, lunch will be over. I'm not going to worry. If I can't get to the shops, I'll just wait till after school and get some food then. G...

My Mummy and Daddy

Today, I had this conversation with a five year old in the class I was working in: Girl: Have you got a mummy and a daddy? Me: Er, no. Girl: Are they at home? Me: No, I don't have a mummy and a daddy. Girl: Why, are they dead? Me: Yes. Girl: How do you look after yourself? Me: I'm an adult and I can look after myself. Girl: Are you sure? What about your younger brother, who takes care of him? Me: He's a grown man and I'm sure he can take care of himself. Girl: One day I'm going to grow up and become big like you. Me: Yes, you certainly will. That's what I love about working with young kids, you never know what they're going to come out with. 😁 I may no longer have earthly parents, I do have a Father God who takes care of me and is forever with me. ❤️
