In other words, they present the Bible based on what they believe is possible instead of what  the Word of God states is possible. For instance, a pastor who does not believe healing is possible without medical intervention might preach that God can work through many different channels. At the back of it were the words "Love" printed about 20 times. Just as I was overtaking her I said to her, "I love your jacket. It's nice to see so much love." "Thank you," she said. "We all need love, right?"  "We certainly do," I said. At work, I noticed a colleague with a fleece that was covered with love hearts. I told her I had just seen a woman with a love jacket and now I am seeing her fleece covered in love hearts. She told me she had just bought the fleece before she came to work. It got me thinking of real love, God's love. God, the Father, loved us so much, He sent His only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for us so we can be redeemed and be reconciled to Him. At this expo I was working at, I was helping visitors print out their badges with the scanning machine. Whenever I or anyone got close to the scanning machine, it would automatically scan the barcode on their badge and print out another badge. I found  it quite hilarious. 😄 I had to either hide my lanyard badge inside my jacket or try not to stand close to the machine. It got me thinking about functions. The function of the scanning machine is to scan barcodes and print out badges. In other words, the machine has been programmed to scan barcodes and print out badges. The machine doesn't care whether you did not intend for it to scan the barcode, it scans it anyway. In the same respect, I believe the function of all born again Christians is to be ambassadors for Christ.  All Christians are programmed by the renewing of their minds to be ambassadors for Christ.  We renew our minds with the Word of God/Bible. '---- While I was on the tube, I noticed this woman chatting to her young son who was about three years old . He kept asking her if she could remember different ages. She said she couldn't remember when she was aged three to four, but she could remember when she was ten. The woman asked him to count. The boy could easily count from one to ten, but stumbled when it came to the teens. She told him they were going to practice when they got on the train. The um and her son reminded me of my relationship with the Holy Spirit as He's constantly teaching me how the Bible applies to every day life. There's never a dull moment with him as He uses every opportunity to remind me of Jesus. Thank you, Holy Spirit, for making life fun and wonderful.❤️

When a friend invited me to her wedding, she asked if I would be bringing a plus one. My response was, "Jesus will be my plus one, but he will be invisible to all of you."  While Jesus is my plus one, He is never alone as God is one. There is the Father God who is constantly loving me through His Son, Jesus Christ. I pointed out to her that I hadn't left ealrly, but she was having none of it. While she was away on her tea break, I found myself rehearsing in my head a conversation I intended to have with her defending my point of view showing how I was right and she was wrong. I then had the thought to let the matter go When my colleague returned, I no longer had the desire to bicker with her. Instead, in between assisting visitors, we talked about our relationships with our mum's. She was in tears when I shared my experience with my mum and I gave her a hug. After work, we walked together to the local shops. Before we parted company, we exchanged warm hugs. Thank you, Holy Spirit...

I was chatting to a work colleague, a fellow Christian,  about the Holy Spirit.   I said after I snapped at another colleague, I felt so bad about it. After we finished work I went up to my colleague and apologised for the way I had spoken to her. She said she was only trying to help and I acknowledged her good intention. We then exchanged hugs. My Christian colleague said I had basically grieved the Holy Spirit (Ephesians 4: 30) by the way I had spoken to my colleague and He had inspired me to apologise. I agreed with her. My friend said she has also had a similar experience of grieving.the Holy Spirit by her behaviour and He had spoken to her about it. Zechariah 4: 6 ---- When a work colleague in his early twenties asked me what my secret was for looking a lot younger than my age, at first I said God. Later, I gave him another explanation. I said when I'm travelling to work, I usually travel by public transport (bus, tube or train). This means I just relax and let the driver take me to my destination. I said believing in God is rather like travelling on public transport. I am never using my own energy, I am always drawing on His inexhaustible energy. While my colleague understood the analogy, I don't think he believed me. Because my job involves standing up for hours, I needed to get new footwear as the cheap trainers I've been wearing have been very uncomfortable. I have several trainers which are very comfortable, but they are too colourful for work as your shoes have to be black. My ideal would be black trainers that could pass as smart shoes where the logo is either hidden or not that obvious. The first thing I did was check the website of my favourite brand of trainers, I found a pair I liked. Because they said they come in small sizes, I decided to visit one of their stores at Oxfird Street (Europe's busiest shopping street with 200+ shops) where I could try them on for size. After work, I caught the bus to Oxford Street. As the bus was driving  by, I noticed a shop that someone had recommended. (I actually have one of their trainers, but they are in pink and blue and not suitable for work). There was another shoe shop next door that I am also familiar with.  Should I get off the bus? Nah...

While I was travelling on the bus, I had two bags of shopping on the empty seat beside me. At one point when the bus suddenly lurched forward, the bags fell to the floor, almost hitting the passenger sitting in front of me.I apologised to the passenger and picked up the bags from the floor. It got me thinking that if I had been suddenly thrown forward, I would have automatically reached out to grab hold of the rail or a passenger to prevent myself from falling. However,  because the bags of shopping have no power or intelligence they immediately fell to the floor. If I wasn't there to pick the bags up, they would have remained on the floor. I thought about cars which need a person or an intelligence inside to drive them.  I believe our bodies are rather like cars. It is our spirits that give our bodies life.  I also believe the life we give our bodies depend on whether our spirits are born again or not.  (John 3: 3) By born again, I mean those who have accepted Je...

Yesterday, I worked at this art gallery. In one gallery I was invigilating, I had to remind visitors not to lean on or touch the panels and they weren't allowed to sit on the floor. One woman said, "Yes, I get you.  No leaning on the floor." I said, "No, no sitting on the floor." It reminds of the game of Chnese Whispers when you whisper a word to someone and they have to pass on that message to another. Before we met up, I decided to get her a Christmas gift. I went into this store and noticed some woolly hats and gloves. I wondered if I should get those as she likes hats too. I have never seen her wearing that kind of hat though, it's more my kind of hat. I decided to leave it. Before I started my shift at the performing arts centre  I decided to check out their shop where I found this necklace in my budget.  I decided to get it for her as I knew my friend would like it. At the last event I was working at, I was mostly standing up. My manager kept asking me if I  wanted to sit down, but I said no.  She told me I was a "superstar" for standing up for hours and not complaining. I told her I was standing by my faith and God was giving me the strength and stamina. She still insisted I was a superstar. What I didn't tell my supervisor was before I went to work, I thanked God for doing everything. The truth of the matter is if I depend on my strength and stamina alone, I would be exhausted after 2 hours.  When I let God do the standing, I can stand up for hours and still be full of energy. Can God he depleted of energy?  No. While my colleagues who were 20 to 30 years younger than I were exhausted, I was full of beans and enjoying chatting to visitors. Natural man has limits. "Do I not fill heaven and earth?” says the Lord." Jeremiah 23: 24 ---- Before I became a born-again Christian, I was aware of the Holy Spirit and that He is everywhere present and was with me. I would refer to him as Spirit. When I accepted Jesus Chist as my Lord and Saviour, the Holy Spirit was no longer only with me, but now lives in me.  It's not enough to know the Holy Spirit lives in me, I have to be able to experience Him in my everyday life. While I was working at this art gallery,  I asked a colleague a question, but I didn't like the way she responded to me which I found disrespectful.  I was feeling so mad, I was thinking of having words with her next time I saw her.   I then thought, "No, I am full of the Holy Spirit which means I have the fruit of His Spirit inside of me." Romans 12: 1-2 ----- While I was getting dressed, I was half-listening to a sermon on my laptop by Pastor Charles Stanley about surrender.  He talked about how when in a battle, when one side surrenders, they give up their freedom to their adversary.  That got my attention. As I was putting on my lipstick, I said okay Lord, if I surrender all to you, can I still wear this lipstick? 😊 Please teach me how to surrender my all to you.  He told me to practice surrendering on a daily and moment to moment basis, then He can work through me at all times. As I was walking down the long windy stairs from the 6th floor, I was thinking that I was going to have to walk up again. At the bottom of the stairs, I opened the doors to check that they were clear. It was time to walk up. There must have been over 100 steps. Okay, Holy Spirit, I need your help here.  Let's go! He gave me the energy to walk up.  Later, when I had to work on the second level,  I walked to the 6th level up,  with the help of the Holy Spirit.  I could have used the lift, but it's fun walking with the Holy Spirit. I couldn't work as a host in theatres, galleries...

Usually when you work on set, you don't have to submit an invoice to the production company. Your casting agency does all that for you and receives payment on your behalf, minus their commission. 😊 Since I've started doing promotion work, I've had to learn how to create and submit my invoice to the client I've worked for so I can get paid. Thank God for invoice apps.  I wonder if there is an app that I can download into my brain which knows everything so I don't have to keep learnng new stuff?
