The Prodigal Daughter Returns

On this day, ten years ago, my mum, Isa, left her body and her spirit and soul went to be with the Lord. While I know mum loved me, she loved Jesus Christ a zillion times more and I know she's with Him. I was devastated when Isa "left" as she was not only my mum, she was my cook, stylist, banker, teacher, sparring partner and friend. The best legacy that Isa left me was her love for the Lord. When I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Saviour, He healed my broken heart. Thank you, Isa, for playing the role of my mum and for sharing your love of Jesus Christ with me. We are now forever sisters-in-Christ. I know that one day we will be reunited, but there is no rush as I also know that even if I lived for a thousand years, when we meet again, it would be like you only saw me a moment ago. When my mum was alive, she and I had this tradition where we always watched a film about the life of Jesus on Good Friday. (It's usually on one of the BBC TV channels). After my mum passed, I carried on the tradition and continued to watch a film about Jesus on the BBC on my own on Good Friday.  I have decided to break away from that tradition. Today, I am attending a Good Friday service at my church. After the service, we are going on a prayer walk to Trafalgar Square to watch a play about the life of Jesus. When I go home, I shall still watch the film on the BBCIplayer that BBC2 is showing today called  "The Robe" about the centurion who was in charge of the crucifixion and was so affected by the experience, he converted to Christianity. Thinking of you mum, Isa, on your earthly birthday. In Heaven I know there's no such a thing as birthdays, only ever new joy. Thank you for playing the role of my mum. Love you. ❤️

The greatest gift my mum gave me was her love of the Lord and her relationship with God through Jesus Christ.  It took me a while to accept that gift. Thank God I finally did. Thanks, mum! Love you. ❤️ Photo of my mum, Isa

More on this later.7 In the episode, "The City on the Edge of Forever" (TOS, S1, E28),  Kirk and Spock enter this time portal to rescue McCoy.  They end up travelling back in time from the 23rd to the 20th century.  I won't say what happens because of spoilers. Suffice it to say, they did find McCoy. When Kirk and Spock return through the time portal, Scotty says, "What happened, sir? You only left a moment ago." Spock says, "We were successful." It's interesting that Kirk, Spock and McCoy were back in that time for several days, possibly weeks, but in the 23rd century, they were only gone for a moment. When I was a kid, I had two mums: my birth mum and my uncle's wife, Aunty Taiwo aka Mato, who stepped in and became our mum while our mum was living and working abroad for six years.  My beloved uncle Eku (Mato's husband) was our dad. I've just heard Mato has passed away at the age of 96. Thank you, Mato, for looking after my brothers and I. Thank you for sharing your faith in the Lord with me. I pray you are now at peace in the Lord with the rest of our loved ones who have gone before you, including my birth mum. God bless you! ❤️ 6

Mark 16: 15 ---- I believe the best thing about the Internet and social media is it enables the Gospel to be shared with billions of believers and non-believers all around the globe. This means you can attend Church wherever you are in the world.  I connect online with ministries I find inspiring via TBN and the God Channel. I'm so grateful to my mum for introducing me to these Christian channels, though I didn't appreciate them at the time.  Thank you, Jesus, for giving us the Gospel. ❤️

 "But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day." 2 Peter 3: 8 ---- The Bible tells us one day in Heaven is the equivalent of a thousand earth years. In earth terms, mum passed away 9 years this year.  But in Heaven, she's only been there for 0.009 years, which is nothing. If I were to live on earth for 1,000 years, it means mum and I would only have been apart for 1 day.  It just shows that time has no power to separate us from our loved ones. ♥️

In the realm of time, today would have been your birthday. In your current reality, you are timeless. Thinking of you, Isa. Thank you for playing the role of my earthly mum so well. Love you forever. ❤️

Today is Mother's Day in the UK.  Of course, not all of us have our earthly mothers here with us. In fact, after church, my brother and I are going to visit our cousins who have just lost their mum. I was inspired to start going to the Methodist church my mum used to attend. So I decided to watch their latest online service. During the service, the Reverend mentioned a church member who had sent in some beautiful flowets as a dedication to her loved ones. I recognised the name as my late mum's very good friend. After the service, I called mum's friend to see how she was.  I told her I'd just heard her name mentioned.  She told me my mum was one of the friends she had dedicated her flowers to. In fact, mum's name was first on the list. How wonderful! ❤️ Here's a photo of me and my mum's friend. It was taken before Covid.

In my dream last night, there was this woman giving me something, but I can't remember what. All I remember was her name was Ayesha. When I woke up, I remembered my mum's  name was Ayesha because her dad was Muslim. After he died, mum converted to Christianity and used the name Isatu instead, Isa for short. Thank you, Isa, for agreeing to play the role of my mum in this human drama. I know you're with Jesus now where you're forever at peace. ❤️

I Thessalonians 5: 23 ---- There was a time when my mum had to have hip replacement operations. One of them was even botched and she had to have it redone which meant spending lots of time in hospital. Even though mum went through a lot of suffering, she had hope she was going to be well.  She demonstrated her faith by ordering outfits and shoes that she intended to wear to church when she got better. That's exactly what happened  - mum got to wear her outfits to church.  A few months later, mum fell ill again.  I...
