The Prodigal Daughter Returns

While I was travelling on the bus, I had two bags of shopping on the empty seat beside me. At one point when the bus suddenly lurched forward, the bags fell to the floor, almost hitting the passenger sitting in front of me.I apologised to the passenger and picked up the bags from the floor. It got me thinking that if I had been suddenly thrown forward, I would have automatically reached out to grab hold of the rail or a passenger to prevent myself from falling. However,  because the bags of shopping have no power or intelligence they immediately fell to the floor. If I wasn't there to pick the bags up, they would have remained on the floor. I thought about cars which need a person or an intelligence inside to drive them.  I believe our bodies are rather like cars. Romans 8: 14- 17 ---- A Facebook friend said he was celebrating today as the day he adopted his dog and best friend seven years ago. He even shared a photo of him and his dog, which I thought was lovely. I am reminded of human adoption. When a human baby is adopted, it's usually because the baby's mum is not able to give her baby the emotional and material care and support it needs.  14.8.2021 Friends, In case you haven't noticed, after a lot of soul searching, I have converted to Born Again - Bible based - Christianity. By this I mean confessing myself as a sinner and that Jesus Christ died for my sins and by faith and grace  I have accepted Jesus as my personal saviour. This means I have forsaken all new age and new thought doctrines for Jesus Christ and the Gospel. I am focused on my  personal relationship with Jesus.  Righr now, I am not a member of any Christian denomination, but I do follow a few Bible based ministries that resonate. I am grateful that the new age and new thought have brought me back to the Word and to Jesus Christ.  God bless you all! ❤
