Immortal Invidible - Hymn

Image
I love this hymn as it describes God perfectly,  at least how I see and know Him. ----- "Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, to God who alone is wise, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen." 1 Timothy1: 17 Immortal, Invisible, God Only Wise Immortal, invisible, God only wise, In light inaccessible hid from our eyes, Most blessed, most glorious, the Ancient of Days, Almighty, victorious, thy great name we praise. 2 Unresting, unhasting, and silent as light, Nor wanting, nor wasting, thou rulest in might; Thy justice like mountains high soaring above Thy clouds, which are fountains of goodness and love. 3 To all life thou givest, to both great and small; In all life thou livest, the true life of all; We blossom and flourish as leaves on the tree, And wither and perish but naught changeth thee. 4 Great Father of glory, pure Father of light, Thine angels adore thee, all veiling their sight; All laud we would render, O help us to see 'Tis only the splendor of li...

Jesus as My Plus One

When a friend invited me to her wedding, she asked if I would be bringing a plus one. My response was, "Jesus will be my plus one, but he will be invisible to all of you."  While Jesus is my plus one, He is never alone as God is one. There is the Father God who is constantly loving me through His Son, Jesus Christ. There is Jesus, who died for me that I may truly live.  There is the Holy Spirit, the Helper, who lives  in me, and is constantly working in and through me.  Wherever I am, God is one.❤️ ---- Related Bible verses "Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord:" Deutoronomy 6: 4 "For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come,    nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8: 38-39 "There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calli...

Trust in God, not Human Knowledge

"It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man." Psalm 118: 8 I will lift up my eyes to the hills—from whence comes my help? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth." Psalm 12: 1-2 ---- A friend was raving about this AI programne he's been using, which he recommended that I look up. Out of curiosity, I registered and asked the AI programne if there was a cure for migraines. The answer that came up was there wasn't a cure, but there were various ways to manage them with medication, diet, environment and consult your doctor. I then asked if there was any cure for sickle cell anaemia. Again, the answers that came up  was no cure, but there were ways to manage them. I used to experience constant migraines and God  healed me of them. I have a friend who used to experience sickle cell anaemia and God healed her. This shows that the facts that AIs provide are based solely on human knowledge or what humans believe is possible. Those who ...

The God Health Care Plan

"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Psalm 46: 1 "It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man." Psalm 118: 8 "For I will restore health to you and heal you of your wounds,’ says the Lord." Jeremiah 30: 17 "But He said, “The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.” Luke 18: 2 ---- I had to call the hospital on behalf of a loved one. The department I called never answered the phone. I kept calling, but there was no response. I then called the hospital's switchboard. It took ages for me to get through to an operator. When someone finally answered my call,  l asked them to put me through to an alternative number at the department, but still nothing. I became so frustrated, I called the switchboard again and asked to be put through to the hospital's complaints department. Of course, no one answered the phone. They asked callers to leave a message, which I did. It got me wondering ...

Only God is Good

"So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one  is  good but One,  that is,  God." Luke 18: 19 "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning." James 1: 17 ---- A friend was lamenting over why every time she does something good, it always turns out bad. I told her I believe if the "good" deed is coming from the human heart, which is sinful,  the "good" deed will get distorted. I said when the good deed is coming from God and being expressed through the individual, then the deed will be consistently good. Only God is good. ❤️

From Dystopia to Utopia

Image
"For as he thinks in his heart, so is he." "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." Matthew 6: 33 ---- While I was having a chat with a friend on Facebook about this film, I described it as dystopic. Later, during my bus journey home, I noticed a shop called Utopia. For months now I've been travelling on that bus route, but I've never "seen" that shop.  I believe it only stood out today after I thought of a film as dystopic. Utopia is the opposite of dystopia. 😊 It just shows how everything already exists, but I only notice things that I am aware of in my thoughts. That's why it's important to thnk of God or be God-conscious then dystopia is transformed into utopia.😀

Godward

Today it took longer than usual to get to church. While I was waiting for my last bus, I asked God to get me there on time as I hate being late. When I got on the final bus, it was 10.55 am. As it only takes about two minutes by bus, I  knew I would get there exactly at 11 am. At the next stop, the bus driver announced the bus was on diversion. "I give up! I'm definitely going to be late now," I said out loud. An elderly lady siting near me  told me she and her husband were also late for the Catholic church they were going to. "I'm sure God won't mind," I said. I spent the duration of the journey chatting to my friend. By the time I got off the bus, it was about 11.10am. I noticed a van driving by with the  company name - Godward. Later, the Minister preached about repenting and moving toward God. In other words, moving Godward. I was never late, I was so on time, God gave me a preview of today's sermon. Nice one, God! 😊❤️

God is in Control

"Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all. Both riches and honor come from you, and you rule over all. In Your hand  is  power and might; In Your hand  it is  to make great and to give strength to all." 1 Chronicles 29: 11-12 ---- Sometimes, we think we are making decisions based on our freewill, but are we really? A few weeks ago, I asked a friend if he would help me move my stuff when the time came. He said he would think about it as he wasn't too keen on driving from south London to north London where I lived. He knew I would stay in north London and even offered to pay towards the removal. I told him I understood if he couldn't make it. When I didn't hear from my friend for a while, I decided I would just hire a van when I was ready to move. A few minutes after I found my new plac...

God is the Only Source

"A nd my God  shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Philippians 4: 19 "Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights,  with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning." James 1: 17 ----- On the bus, I could hear this teenage boy sitting at the back chatting on his phone. He sounded like he was talking to his mum or dad. He was telling them that he needed money to add to his bus pass. He said he needed a Pound, but it seems whoever he was speaking to was not convinced. If I had the money in my purse, I would have given it to him, but I don't tend to carry cash in my purse. I probably have about 50 pence in there now. The boy's conversation got me thinking of God. Those of us who were brought up in Christian homes were taught at Sunday School that God is our Father and He is the Creator, but I don't remember ever seeing God as the Source of all good things includi...

God's Vision of Time

Image
When I came out of the library, I spotted a branch of a shop, where I usually get savoury sausage rolls, right opposite. Why not treat myself to one? When I crossed over, the shop was nowhere in sight. I could have sworn I had seen it or was I dreaming? After a few minutes of searching, I decided to get a salt fish pattie from this West Indian shop instead. Later, as I was walking down the road and munching on my patty, I spotted the shop I had been looking for. The shop is actually five minutes walk away from the library, and yet, I had seen it right in front of me. It was now too late to get a sausage roll from them. I have had these kinds of visions many times before. For instance, I would be waiting at the bus stop and I would see the bus I am waiting for approaching, but the actual bus will not physically appear until a few minutes later. It's as if I am able to see the immediate future right in front of me. I believe since all time is now, then I guess that's why I can se...

Nice and Cosy on the Bus

Image
When I arrived at the bus stop, I saw that my bus was number 4 on the Live timetable and was due in 6 minutes. I didn't fancy waiting that long for a bus as it was cold. I thanked God for sending my bus. I told myself it was already at the bus stop and I was already nice and cosy at home. My bus arrived 3 minutes early. During the bus journey, the driver remained at one stop for a lot longer than usual. I realised he was trying to regulate the service as he was early. I hear it's okay for bus drivers to arrive late, but they can get in trouble if they are early. I didn't mind the delay as I was nice and cosy on the bus. Thank you, God, for getting me home safely on a warm bus.
