Secondl of November

While my colleague and I were letting the audience into the auditorium, this man said to me,, "Is it the second or the third today?"

"It's the second of November today," I said.

"I meant is it the second or third concerto?" he said.

 I burst out laughing.

His wife told him to check the programme.

Before they went in, he told me my response could be used in a comedy sketch.

That's what you get when you ask a literalist, like me, a question. 😄
