Walkinh Mud Free
"I do not pray that You should take them out of the world, but that You should keep them from the evil one. They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world." John 17: 15-16
----
A few days ago, my flatmate went to see her daughter, wy⁷ho lives out of London. When she returned I asked her what they had got up to and she said they went for long walks in the countryside and it was very muddy. The moment she mentioned the "m" word I started cringing as I hate mud. I told her I always avoid anywhere muddy when I go for walks. I said one time when I was lost and stuck in this muddy park, I prayed for help. God sent me this guy who acted as my guide and led me on a mud free path out of the park.
A friend invited me to see a fireworks display at a park. We arranged to meet at his place and go from there. Before we left he put on his walking boots. He asked me if I had boots on as it was likely to be muddy. I told him I only had ny black trainers on and I hate mud. I was beginning to regret accepting his gift.
When we arrived at the park, there was a walkway. My friend said they've never had that before. I said it was because of me. He said they had laid out the "red carpet" for me.
At the end of the walkway, we were back on the grass and I was reluctant to walk on it. My friend persuaded me to walk on the grass to the other side of the park where there was a Disco tent playing loud music. I noticed the aura inside the tent was purple, which is my favourite colour. My friend even filmed me dancing inside.
The fireworks display was wonderful.
After the fireworks display, my friend and I walked behind the crowd to the nearest bus stop. While we were waiting for our bus, my friend said to me "How come my boots are muddy and your boots are not?"
"That's because I don't like mud," I said.
When I got home, I examined my boots and saw they looked really clean.
I believe our different mud experiences represent our different world views.
My friend is an unbeliever who has worldly beliefs.
As a believer in Christ, I am in the world, but not of the world.
Thank you, God, for blessing me with the fireworks and for keeping my trainers mud free. ❤️
