Forsaking All for Jesus

Before I had my hair cropped in 1992, I mulled over that decision for a whole year. While the hairdresser was cutting my hair, she looked at my reflection on the mirror and must have noticed the horror on my face. She told me if I wasn't sure, she could just do short back and sides and leave a bit of hair on top. I agreed with her.  The next day, I went to another hairdresser and asked them to take everything off. I haven't regretted that decision.

In the same respect, before I arrived at the point where I could share my Christian faith in public, I mulled over it for over a year. I haven't looked back since.

What can I say, I am a deep thinker. 😀

Friends,

In case you haven't noticed, after a lot of soul searching, I have converted to Orthodox - Bible based - Christianity. By this I mean confessing myself as a sinner and that Jesus Christ died for my sins and by faith and grace I have accepted Jesus as my personal saviour.

This means I have forsaken all new age and new thought doctrines for Jesus Christ and the Gospel. I am focused on my  personal relationship with Jesus.

Righr now, I am not a member of any Christian denomination, but I do follow a few Bible based ministries that resonate.

I am grateful that the new age and new thought have brought me back to the Word and to Jesus Christ.

God bless you all! ❤

34 "When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 35 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it. 36 For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? 37 Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? 38 For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.” Mark 8: 34-38

"Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit." John 3: 5-6

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3: 16
