Our All Knowing Travel Guide

"But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things." 1 John 2: 20 ---- After church, I was thinking of travelling home with a friend who lives close to me, but she told me she needed to go to a particular store in Oxford Street.  I decided to accompany her.  When we got on the bus, there was a long traffic jam. I suggested that we get off the bus, walk through China Town and get to Oxford Street from there.  When we got off  the bus, we  cut through several side streets in China Town.  The moment we hit Oxford Street, the shop my friend was looking for was right in front of us.  She was amazed at how it had worked out perfectly. After my friend got what she wanted from the store, we headed back to China Town as my friend was hungry and fancied a Chinese meal and to give me a treat.  By then it had started drizzling. She suggested we go to a Chinese restaurant she used to go to, but when we got there it wa...

Blessed to be a Blessing

"We love Him because He first loved us." 1 John 4: 19 ---- At my last online Alpha class, we were sharing how the Holy Spirit (HS) works in us. I shared how sometimes the Holy Spirit gives me melodies with words of praise that I then sing to God. It makes petfect sense that the HS inspires one to write somgs of praise so they can use those songs to praise God, as the HS knows exactly what turns God on or off. 😀 Before Jesus was arrested, he asked his Father to glorify him so he could glorify the Father: "Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You." John 17: 1 I believe Jesus knew his flesh was resisting what he was about to be put through and he needed God's Love and Power to be able to go through the physical torture, crucifixion, death and eventual resurrection. Of my own will, power and strength, I can do nothing. I can only be a blessing  to my c...

Receiving Grace

"Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost." Isaiah 55: 1 "Let the one who is thirsty come; and let the one who wishes take the free gift of the water of life." Revelation 22: 17 ---- Yesterday was really hot. Apparently, the maximum temperature was 30c. As I don't like hot weather, I decided to hibernate indoors. I did pop out briefly to take my washing out and bring them in once they were dry. By mid-afternoon, I started feeling cold and was shivering so I put a jumper on. I thought that maybe it was because I only had a little top and shorts on. I even started coughing and sneezing. While I was feeling those symptoms, I was lying in bed underneath my duvet and listening to the Book of Revelation on Audio Bible on my laptop. At the last chapter of Revelation [22], the words "free gift of the water of life" got my attention. I meditated...
