The Holy Spirit is My Teacher

"But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you." John 14: 26

While I was listening to this pastor on a Christian channel, she said something which I knew was off. I immediately stopped listening.

I have observed many pastors, ministers and teachers filter their teachings through their belief systems. In other words, they present the Bible based on what they believe is possible instead of what  the Word of God states is possible.

For instance, a pastor who does not believe healing is possible without medical intervention might preach that God can work through many different channels. The Bible clearly illustrates how the first Christians (after they received the Holy Spirit) were able to heal all manner of diseases and even raise the dead in Jesus's name.

There is a pastor I sometimes listen to whose ministry practices healing of all diseases and even raise the dead, but he doesn't believe in God providing miracle money.

There are ministries who now teach about miracle money and their congregation experience those miracles.

While I don't know the Bible inside out, I have someone in me who does - the Holy Spirit. That's why if a preacher is teaching something that is based on their belief system, He will point it out to me. The Holy Spirit knows the Truth and which Scriptures relate to the plan that God has for my life.

Thank you, Holy Spirit, for being my Teacher. ❤️

What is My Function?

At this expo I was working at, I was helping visitors print out their badges with the scanning machine. Whenever I or anyone got close to the scanning machine, it would automatically scan the barcode on their badge and print out another badge. I found  it quite hilarious. 😄 I had to either hide my lanyard badge inside my jacket or try not to stand close to the machine. It got me thinking about functions. If at First You Don't Succeed

So I put a quiche in the oven to heat it up. By the time I checked it again, it was overdone. I had to scrape the burnt bits off. I didn't share that information with my flatmate, who was at work at the time. The very next day, my flatmate bought me the exact same quiche from the supermarket. I told her I had "cooked" a quiche the day before but it was more burnt than cooked. I believe God had inspired my flatmate to buy that quiche for me. It was His way of saying, if at first you don't succeed, try again.😊 Tomorrow I will have the quiche and be sure to follow the heating instructions. Thank you, Lord, for caring about everything that concerns me including cooking. ❤️

If God is Sovereign, Why is there Evil?

It is written in the Bible that God is in complete control and rules over all. (Psalm 103: 19l If God is sovereign and in control of the entire universe, why is there so much evil in the world? In other words, why does He allow evil to continue? The Bible tells us that because God is extremely patient, He gives us many second chances to enable us to repent or change our ways, as He doesn't want anyone to perish. (2 Peter 3: 9) That's why God allows men to continue in their sin. At a time of God's choosing, He brings down the proud. (Daniel 4: 37) One example in the Bible is  the life of King Nebuchadnezzar.
