I Surrender All

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God." Romans 12: 1-2

While I was getting dressed, I was half-listening to a sermon on my laptop by Pastor Charles Stanley about surrender.  He talked about how when in a battle, when one side surrenders, they give up their freedom to their adversary. 

That got my attention.

As I was putting on my lipstick, I said okay Lord, if I surrender all to you, can I still wear this lipstick? 😊 Please teach me how to surrender my all to you. 

He told me to practice surrendering on a daily and moment to moment basis, then He can work through me at all times.

When I got on the tube, I surrendered the journey to Him. One tube I got on was packed full, but this woman asked me if I wanted to sit down. I could see she was sitting next to her son so I told her I was OK. She told me they were getting off at the next stop and I gratefully sat down.

There was something I have  been praying about, but still feeling conflicted about. I decided to simply surrender it to the Lord, He instantly gave me peace about it and I had an immediate change of heart about the matter.

Before I went to work, I surrendered it to the Lord. There was an issue I needed to speak to the duty manager about. I had planned to say it openly at the staff meeting, but the Lord told me to speak to him privately about it and the matter was resolved.

There were other issues that arose at work which were resolved peacefully.

I believe when you surrender all to the Lord, you are letting the Holy Spirit work through you and you naturally experience: His Powers (see Isaiah 11: 2),  His Gifts (see 1 Corinthians 12: 4-11), His Fruit (see Galatians 5: 22-23), and know what your ministry is (see Ephesians 4: 11-14).

Every day is another opportunity to surrender all.

Today I surrender my body, soul, spirit, every moment of this day, and everything that concerns me to the Lord. Amen! ❤️
