Today it took longer than usual to get to church. While I was waiting for my last bus, I asked God to get me there on time as I hate being late. When I got on the final bus, it was 10.55 am. As it only takes about two minutes by bus, I knew I would get there exactly at 11 am. At the next stop, the bus driver announced the bus was on diversion. "I give up! I'm definitely going to be late now," I said out loud. An elderly lady siting near me told me she and her husband were also late for the Catholic church they were going to. "I'm sure God won't mind," I said. I spent the duration of the journey chatting to my friend. By the time I got off the bus, it was about 11.10am. I noticed a van driving by with the company name - Godward. Later, the Minister preached about repenting and moving toward God. In other words, moving Godward. I was never late, I was so on time, God gave me a preview of today's sermon. Nice one, God! 😊❤️
Previously posted on Facebook on 28.5.2022) "Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:... Who redeems your life from destruction," Psalm 103: 2, 4 ---- A few days ago while I was in my bedroom, I started smelling smoke. I looked everywhere and couldn't find the source. I thought my flatmate was cooking but she was in her bedroom. I asked her if she could smell smoke and she said no. I then opened my bedroom window to let the "smoke" smell our. Today I went to do sone work in the library. While I was charging my tablet, I noticed the charging cable looked like it was falling apart then I noticed smoke coming out of it. When I had a sniff, I realised that was what I had smelled a few days ago. The Samsung engineer had warned me about using a "fake cable" as he thought it was too powerful for the device. What if I had gone out and left the tablet to charge, which I have done lots of times. It could have easily caught fire. Thank You, G...
Reminder to self: "You may be asking why I changed my plan. Do you think I make my plans carelessly? Do you think I am like people of the world who say “Yes” when they really mean “No”? As surely as God is faithful, our word to you does not waver between “Yes” and “No.” For Jesus Christ, the Son of God, does not waver between “Yes” and “No.” He is the one whom Silas, Timothy, and I preached to you, and as God’s ultimate “Yes,” he always does what he says. For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for his glory." 2 Corinthians 1:17-20, NLT
