Special Needs

"He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him." Psalm 91: 15 ---' Although I've been at that school before, it was the first time I would be working in this particular year group. Before the kids arrived, the teacher briefed me about what to expect.  She then gave me a list of names of pupils that were going to need special attention.  I thought, "Holy Spirit, I need your help now!"😀 As it was a big class, there was a lot of preparation to do. At one point, the teacher asked if I wanted to have a break and go for a cup of tea, but I said no.  I also had to give support to another class teacher. Later during the day, I asked the first teacher how her day was going. She said the kids in her class were a lot calmer than usual.  Go, Holy Spirit! 🙏 In the afternoon,  I had to assist the first teacher. She asked me to work with the "problem kids" who like to chat a lot and not follow i

All Things are Yours

"Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God." Mark 10: 14 "All things are yours, whether Paul or Apollos or Cepha or the world or life or death or the present or the future—all are yours, and you are of Christ, and Christ is of God.' 1 Corinthians 3: 21-23 'The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ," Romans 8: 16-17 ---- I've noticed that young kids at school fight a lot over toys which they think belongs to them. This boy I was working with in class had no interest in writing words, he was only interested in playing with these building bricks. I put the toy away and told him he could play with it after he'd done some writing. I also told him it will be nice to tell his mum and dad that he had written some words instead of playing all day. Later, the boy noticed another pupil was now playing

Kids are Hilarious

A conversation I had with a couple of five year old boys at school. Boy: Miss, how old are you? Me: A lot older than you. Boy: Are you 26? Me: Slightly older. Boy: 99? Me: Younger. Boy: 93? Me: Yes, I am 93 years old. He ran into the class and announced: "Miss is 93 years old!" 😀 Another boy I was chatting to was making a plane with building blocks. He then mentioned a very popular and cheap airline. Boy: Do you know how much it costs to fly on their plane?" Me: No, tell me. Boy: £26,000! Me: Wow, now that's a lot of money. When he finished building his plane, I asked if I could ride on his plane. Boy: No. Me: But, it's supposed to be a plane! Boy: You are too heavy to ride on my plane. Kids can be hilarious! 😀

Fixing Our Eyes on Jesus

Reminder to self' ^fixing our eyes on Jesus,  the pioneer  and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross,  scorning its shame,  and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews `12: 2

Showing Kindness

"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law." Galatians 5: 22-23 ---- During another bus journey, this woman sat next to me. I had to keep adjusting my arm as her arm was squashing mine and I was feeling very uncomfortable. She also couldn't control her body and kept leaning agsinst me whenever the bus changed directions. I prayed for her to get off, but she stayed put. As there were now empty seats, I asked for her to move to an empty seat. Not happening! Maybe, I can ask her how far she's travelling. If she's going all the way like me, I could ask her to move to an empty seat. Not a good idea as she might be offended. I then had the idea to swap seats. So I moved downstairs where there were now empty seats and remained there till the last stop. Thank you, God, for showing me how to be kind in an uncomfortable situation. ❤️

The Body of Christ Agency

"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s." Psalm 103: 2-5 ---- I recently applied to join an agency for casual work. I had to go for an interview so they could ascertain whether I was the right fit fot the agency and their clients. I was then accepted. The next step was for me to formally register with the agency, which involves uploading required documents like your ID, right to work etc and signing contracts. It took almost a week before I completed the registration. As soon as I had formally registered at the agency, I was bombarded with jobs that I can say yay or nay to. I haven't chosen any yet. It got me thinking that becoming a born again Christian is rather like joining an agency. However, Jesus&

God's Vision of Time

Image
When I came out of the library, I spotted a branch of a shop, where I usually get savoury sausage rolls, right opposite. Why not treat myself to one? When I crossed over, the shop was nowhere in sight. I could have sworn I had seen it or was I dreaming? After a few minutes of searching, I decided to get a salt fish pattie from this West Indian shop instead. Later, as I was walking down the road and munching on my patty, I spotted the shop I had been looking for. The shop is actually five minutes walk away from the library, and yet, I had seen it right in front of me. It was now too late to get a sausage roll from them. I have had these kinds of visions many times before. For instance, I would be waiting at the bus stop and I would see the bus I am waiting for approaching, but the actual bus will not physically appear until a few minutes later. It's as if I am able to see the immediate future right in front of me. I believe since all time is now, then I guess that's why I can se

Nice and Cosy on the Bus

Image
When I arrived at the bus stop, I saw that my bus was number 4 on the Live timetable and was due in 6 minutes. I didn't fancy waiting that long for a bus as it was cold. I thanked God for sending my bus. I told myself it was already at the bus stop and I was already nice and cosy at home. My bus arrived 3 minutes early. During the bus journey, the driver remained at one stop for a lot longer than usual. I realised he was trying to regulate the service as he was early. I hear it's okay for bus drivers to arrive late, but they can get in trouble if they are early. I didn't mind the delay as I was nice and cosy on the bus. Thank you, God, for getting me home safely on a warm bus.

Falling Asleep on the Bus

Image
I do find it rather amusing when someone falls asleep on the bus and their head starts lollling. I fell asleep on the bus today and I was sitting right in front of the bus. I bet someone found my head lolling entertaining too. Fortunately, no one could see me dribbling.

Giving Everything Up - Deleting Blogs

Image
"So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all that he has cannot be My disciple." Luke 14: 33 "And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the wineskins will be ruined.: Luke 5: 37 "But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9: 62 ----- As a disciple of Jesus, I believe I have to give up everything for Him. This means everything I created before I gave my life to Christ has to go. Last night, I did something I've been putting off for a while - I permanently deleted all my 40+ blogs. There are articles I posted on some websites that I can't delete as I can't access them. That can't be helped. At least I have deleted the blogs I have control over. I feel like a huge burden has been lifted off me. Thank you, Jesus, for being my Life, Lord, Teacher, and Friend. Amen!

Pancake Da'y

Image
"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18 ---- As usual, on my way to this new school I had never been to before, I thanked God for working in me, through me and around me. I was going to be working with a Reception class where the kids are aged four years old. The teacher I was assisting was very welcoming and the kids seemed pleasant enough. I was very happy helping a few kids working on their letters and phonics. Later, I noticed two eggs in a bowl and wondered why they were there. The teacher then announced to the kids that it was Shrove Tuesday or Pancake Day and we were going to be making pancakes. As I'm not into pancakes, it's not something I've ever made from scratch. The very few times I've had pancakes, I've bought the ready-made ones that you just heat up. Hopefully, I'll be able to get out of that one. Later in the day, the teacher aske

Watching Myself Sleeping

Image
"But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding." Job 32: 8 "Be still, and know that I am God." Psalm 46: 10 "he that keepeth thee will not slumber." Psalm 121: 3 "But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit." 1 Corinthians 6: 17 ---- As I've had a near death experience, I know for a fact that I am a spirit. I remember being out of my body at the time. The Bible teaches us that when Adam and Eve disobeyed God, their spirit became disconnected from God, which brought mortality to the world. God then sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for the sins of all humans for all time. Those who believe in Jesus are then reconciled with God in their spirit. In other words, all believers in Christ are joined with Him as one Spirit. I was feeling a lot of physicsl pain last night, which kept me awake. I kept reminding myself that God loves me and His Love doesn't cause pain. I then had the thought:

Angel in Disguise?

Image
" Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares." Hebrews 13: 2 ---- While I was queueing up to get on the bus, a man wearing a mask tapped my arm and asked me if everything was okay with me. I told him I was fine. He then walked away. Was that an angel, I wonder?

Guiding the Lost Couple

"Now may the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." Hebrews 13: 20-21 "And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.” Matthew 15: 14 ---- Years ago, I used to blog about my daily experiences. I've been asked time and time again to have them published, but something has been stopping me. Since I became a born again Christian, I now understand why I couldn't publish those stories - because I wasn't coming from Christ"s Will but from my own self will. Let me digress for a moment. While I was in town earlier today, this couple approached me and asked if I knew a certain place. I looked at the map, but I wasn't sure. The man asked me if the road was Pall Mall and I said yes. When I

Perfect Timekeeping

Image
M y friend and I were chatting about people who are always late. She told me I'm her only friend who always turns up on time, the others don't. I told her I don't tolerate tardiness, especially now that most people have mobile phones. If you're running late, you can text or call. Otherwise, I find it shows a lack of respect. As I see it, if you can turn up for work on time, you can turn up to see me on time unless there's a genuine emergency that prevents it. Another thing, there are not two versions of me - one that is always on time and the other always late. There is only one me. I presume there is only one of each of us too. That's why there are social events I won't attend because if the event is supposed to start at 11pm, I expect it to start at 11pm. If people start rolling up two hours later, it's a waste of my time and they will never see me again. I'm not yet perfect, but my timekeeping certainly is.

My Alpha Testimony with Leslie

I recently shared a 1 minute testimony about the Alpha Course I'm studying at our church. You can watch it here. It starts around 50.28. God bless!

Lost Hat Found

Image
After I finished a Zoom meeting, I went back inside the library. After a while, I realised I didn't have my hat. I must have left it on the chair I was sitting on while I was on Zoom. God, I love that hat, I can't lose it! I asked the librarian at the desk if anyone had handed in a hat. He said no. I then went to the chair where I was sitting while I was having the Zoom meeting and saw my hat on the chair. I was so grateful to be reunited with my beloved. I find it interesting that there were two young ladies hanging around the chair, but neither of them sat on the vacant chair. It was like they wete guarding my hat for me. There was also an earbuds case on the chair, which I handed in to the librarian. Thank you, God, for looking after my hat!

Mobile Phone Offers

Image
While I was watching some programme on my laptop, this advert came on for this mobile network company. They were offering some good deals for a particular brand of phone and were offering over £300 for your old phone. I thought to myself, I wonder what I would get for my phone, given that it's just under a year old? Nah, I like my phone! I have no intention of getting a new one just yet. About half an hour later, my phone rang. Although I didn't recognise the number, I answered it. The caller was from the company where I had bought my phone, the same brand phone in the advert I had seen earlier, though mine is a cheaper model. She said they had some special offers for phones and wondered if I was interested. I said, no thanks! What's going on? Are companies reading our thoughts now?

Let Me Take This Over

Image
Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you;" Psalm 55: 22 ---- In this reality TV show I was watching about buying and selling property, one client was upset after sacking her agent. The new agent said to the seller: "I'm going to take this over. I don't want you to stress about it." The seller visibly relaxed or at least appeared to be. The new agent then sold the property. It got me thinking, why is it so easy for people to trust their estate agents, but they have difficulty trusting in the all knowing and all powerful God? I must confess I still find it hard having complete faith in God. Whilel I surrender my cares, I still worry about the outcome. Father God, thank you for helping me trust You with all my affairs in Jesus name.

Jesus is My Valentine

Image
esus is my Valentine. Jesus loves me so much, He took on all my sins and died for me so that I can be reconciled with the Father God forever. Jesus's love is forever and He will never leave me nor forsake me. I love you, Jesus! Thank you for being my forever Valentine! "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3: 16

Father Knows Our Needs

Image
"Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you." ---- I had arranged to meet up with a friend I haven't seen in a while at his place. On the way I wondered whether to buy something to eat or not. When I arrived, my friend provided some bread and sandwich fillings and some snacks and drinks. After our meeting, he drove me to the closest tube station. I was really grateful. The next day, during the bus journey, the driver kept stopping and waiting at bus stops. Each time he waited, he announced to passengers that he had been asked to stop to regulate the service and apologised for any inconvenience caused. When I got off that bus, I was really grateful to see my next bus was right behind so I didn't have

Chivalry isn't Dead

Image
On the tube, I noticed everyone in the carriage looked thirty or younger. I must have been the oldest person there but no one offered me a seat. I only got a seat when passengers got off. When I changed to another line, the passengers were a mixed bag. One guy, around my age, even offered me a seat. I told him it was refreshing to have a man offer a lady a seat these days. While I was getting off the tube, he wished me a nice weekend. Thank God chivalry isn't dead!

Forest School

"The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man." Genesis 39:2 "When Almighty God is with you, good things will happen in you, around you and through you." Joseph Ptince, Unmerited Favour ---- So my agency booked me at this private school to cover a member of staff for the day. The agent told me that I would be required to accompany the kids to forest school where nature is their classroom. She asked me to bring my wellies for that session.  I don't have wellies as I always avoid muddy paths and grass when I go for my walks. I decided to take a pair of old boots I have, which I won't mind getting muddy. Before I went to the school, I prayed for God to make my day in that class easy, fun and wonderful. The morning session was easy and fun with the kids. I had an early lunch which was free, one of the perks for working at this school. In the afternoon, the teacher for the forest school class briefed me about what was expected of me. After seeing the bo

Pray Without Ceasing - Day Pass

Image
"pray without ceasing," 1 Thessalonians 5: 17 ---- I believe the reason why it's important to "pray without ceasing" is because it reminds me to see God as my continuous source/supply in all my endeavours. When I arrived at the library, someone told me they had run out of day passes. Apparently, the library was full of university students because their college was closed due to lecturers being on strike. There was a guy already waiting. I decided to wait with him in case anyone handed in their card. While I was waiting, I thought, "God I need a day pass now!" The guy I was sitting with went for a walk. Within a few minutes, someone handed in their pass. As the guy wasn't around, I got the first pass and I was in. Thank you, God, for my day pass!

Trust and Obey

Image
" Trust and obey, for there's no other way to be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey." Author: John H. Sammis (1887) ----- Because of the 10K race in central London not far from the church I attend, I decided yesterday evening to give church a miss. I thought I'd watch their online service. I then texted a friend to see if she fancied going for a walk in the morning. She told me she wasn't available in the morning, but could meet up later. I didn't fancy walking later. While I was pondering over whether to go for a walk in the morning, the Holy Spirit told me to go to church. He said I was needed at church and I could travel a different way to church - catch the tube and then either walk the rest of the way or catch a bus. So this morning, I obeyed and got ready for church. As I was approaching the tube station, my friend texted me to tell me she was now available for the walk if I was free. I texted her back to tell her I had been inspired to go to church.

Christ Light in Healing Service

Image
" You are the light of the world... Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven." Matthew 5: 14, 16 ---- It's been a long day. I've only just got home since I left early this morning. What a marvellous day it's been! In the morning service, the deacon preached on Jesus's teaching about believers being the light of the world and salt of the earth and how we are to go out into the world shining Christ's Light. They had a healing service in the evening, which I wanted to attend as I've never attended one before. Besides, I could do with healing too. After the first service, I hung out with my friend, then I went for a long walk. I then returned to the church and hung out with a church member who used to know my mum. The deacon for the evening healing service was preaching about healing our image of God. While she was preaching, I could see her surrounded by the Light of Christ hugging her from t

Wake Up, John 11: 11

Image
"Bless the Lord, you His angels, who excel in strength, who do His word, heeding the voice of His word." Psalm 103: 20 “Awake, you who sleep, arise from the dead, and Christ will give you light.” Ephesians 5: 14 ---- Many years ago when I was into the New Age, there was this obsession about seeing 11:11, which I noticed quite a lot. The belief among "light workers" was that whenever you see these numbers, it's a reminder from the angels to wake you up from your spiritual "sleep." As a believer in and follower of Christ, I know real angels of God do not operate that way, they act only on God's Word. (Psalm 103: 20) So where did the belief in 11:11 as a sign to wake up come from? Well, in the Bible (Gospel of John chapter 11), Jesus is sent a message that his dear friend, Lazarus, is sick. Jesus waits several days before he decides to visit Lazarus (who by then was now dead and buried). This is what Jesus says to his disciples: "Our friend L
