I saw these roses in front  of our building. My flatmate, who is into gardening, tells me even though the soil is quite poor, somehow these roses always manage to thrive.

No matter how difficult the circumstances, sons and daughters of God will always thrive. ❤️

What is My Function?

At this expo I was working at, I was helping visitors print out their badges with the scanning machine. Whenever I or anyone got close to the scanning machine, it would automatically scan the barcode on their badge and print out another badge. I found  it quite hilarious. šŸ˜„ I had to either hide my lanyard badge inside my jacket or try not to stand close to the machine. It got me thinking about functions. The function of the scanning machine is to scan barcodes and print out badges. In other words, the machine has been programmed to scan barcodes and print out badges. The machine doesn't care whether you did not intend for it to scan the barcode, it scans it anyway. In the same respect, I believe the function of all born again Christians is to be ambassadors for Christ.  All Christians are programmed by the renewing of their minds to be ambassadors for Christ.  We renew our minds with the Word of God/Bible. God Directsv My Steps

(Previously posted on Facebook on 6.5.2021).  "A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps." Proverbs 16: 9 ------- After I had performed my civic duty and voted at the local elections, I decided to take advantage of the dry  and sunny weather and go for a long walk. It was so warm, I removed my hat and scarf.  I thought I could get a sandwich and have it at the park. I also thought I might do my weekly grocery shopping on the way home but then I thought I'll do it tomorrow. Now that the decision was made, I headed to the store to buy a sandwich, but my feet had other ideas and was leading me in the direction of the park. I let my feet lead the way. I walked through the park and discovered another exit which led to the store I had planned to get my sandwich. Now that I was there, I decided to do my weekly grocery shopping.
