Missing Adapter Found

Image
(Previously posted on Facebook on 31.5.2022) "Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord." Jeremiah 23: 24 ---- When I wanted to use my headset Jack adapter for my phone, I couldn't find it. I looked under both duvets, underneath my pillows, under the bed, in the bin, my handbag and still nothing. By then I was feeling upset and giving myself a stomach upset. I then reminded myself that nothing is ever lost to God and He knows where the adapter is. I asked Him to either reveal to me where it is or to put it somewhere I can see it. I still couldn't let it go and continued my search and got more upset. I then had a thought that the more I think I have lost it, the more it will appear lost.  I may not be able to see it with my physical eyes, but I can still see it with my spiritual eyes. It's not lost, I have found it. I decided to trust in Spirit to reveal it. I then calmed down and

Shining God's Light

Image
(Previously posted on Facebook on 30.5.2018) "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid." Matthew 5: 14 ---- As I was leaving this building, I noticed one security guard was glowing. I told him I could see his shine. He told me he has been feeding himself by repeating verses from the Bible.  I told him I could see the Light of God/annointing shining in and through him.  I said there are certain people who are placed in certain positions to radiate the Love of God rather like a lighthouse and I can see that he's one of those.  He told me when he was working at the airport, someone approached him and asked if he was a priest. He said no, but he is a pastor. My friend told me I must be very powerful to see him so clearly. I told him as I'm in a similar line of work (lighthouse), it's very easy for me to spot kindred spirits. He thanked me for SEEING him. Before I said goodbye,  I asked my friend what his name was and he said Emmanuel

About Constipation

"Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts." Zechariah 4: 6 ---- So I had the urge to do number two, but I was feeling constipated. I tried to force it, but it wasn't happening.   I thought, "God, I need some help here!" I then relaxed and my "friends" immediately popped out and were released effortlessly. 😊 Constipation is a reminder to me that when  I try to make things happen without God i.e. by human will or human strength, it's not only hard work, I might end up hurting myself in the long run. When I wait on the Lord i.e trust in God, things happen easily and effortlessly and it always works out for the best. Thank you, God! ❤️

God the Author of My Life Story

(Previously posted on Facebook on 30.5.2021) "Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith." Hebrews 12: 1-2 ------ In a TV episode of "Agatha Christie's Poirot" one of the characters, who was an author of detective stories, was complaining that his main  character in his novel was refusing to cooperate with his plot. I have actually heard about that phenomenon where authors of fiction who have created strong lead characters, especially those who have appeared in several novels, find the characters controlling the plot's development. The author either has to let the characters take the lead or abandon that project and start a new novel with new characters. I believe God is the Author of all his creations' life stories and He has w

Birthday Celebration

On the bus to meet my friend, I thought about what we could do this year to celebrate our birthdays. Last year, we went to Brighton to celebrate mine. We then attended the Afro Hair and Beauty Live show where there were lots of stalls selling various hair and beauty products. At one point my friend and I split up to browse different stalls. When I went  looking for her, I found her listening to this guy who was trying to sell her a photoshoot and pampering session, which he said she could share with a friend. I told him I once had one of those with a friend to celebrate our 50th birthdays. He told me he couldn't believe I was in my 50s. Flattery will get you everywhere, my friend! 😊 While he was still trying to impress my friend, I looked on my phone and found the photos I'd had taken with my friend and showed them to the guy. He knew exactly where the studio was. I was really impressed and asked him how he knew. He said he recognised the props.  He told me he has actually wor

Tights

A few days ago, a friend  posted a photo of a famous singer on her Facebook page. She said she wanted to know where the singer got her tights from as she can't find tights that match her skin tone.  I responded that the singer's stylist probably knows where to get them. Fast forward three days later - today, a friend and I attended the Afro Hair and Beauty Live show. I didn't buy anything as they didn't have the products I was interested in. However, I did notice this stall selling tights for various black skin tones. I remembered my friend's post on Facebook so I asked for their website address. which I sent to my friend. Apparently, the same singer, whose photo my friend had posted on her Facebook page, also uses this company's products. Thank you, God, for your many wonderful ways of meeting our needs  ❤️

God’s Protection

Previously posted on Facebook on 28.5.2022) "Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits:... Who redeems your life from destruction," Psalm 103: 2, 4 ---- A few days ago while I was in my bedroom, I started smelling smoke. I looked everywhere and couldn't find the source. I thought my flatmate was cooking but she was in her bedroom. I asked her if she could smell smoke and she said no. I then opened my bedroom window to let the "smoke" smell our. Today I went to do sone work in the library. While I was charging my tablet, I noticed the charging cable looked like it was falling apart then I noticed smoke coming out of it. When I had a sniff, I realised that was what I had smelled a few days ago. The Samsung engineer had warned me about using a "fake cable" as he thought it was too powerful for the device. What if I had gone out and left the tablet to charge, which I have done lots of times.  It could have easily caught fire. Thank You, G

One Mind in Christ

Image
"May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ." Romans 15: 5-6 ---- I've been thinking of a dear friend, who is also a born again Christian. Although we  haven't spoken on the phone in a while, we recently exchanged texts via WhatsApp. I was going to call her yesterday, but when I checked the time, it was 9.30pm. I thought it was too late to call her then. Today, I thought about my friend again and made a mental note to call her. Later in the afternoon,  I received a WhatsApp call from the same friend, but it only rang once. I called her back immediately and asked if she was trying to call me. She said she had called me by mistake. She said she had been searching for a link I sent her a while back about this former New Age leader who became a believer in Jesus Christ.  She said something has ha

Mind Games

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." Romans 8: 28 "For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you."” Hebrews 13: 5 ---- As I haven't been to the cinema in ages, I fancied seeing a film. I decided to go for a film date with the Lord, who is my best friend, perfect companion and love of my life. What I love about going out with Jesus: - He doesn't care whether I'm dressed casual or smart,  He accepts me just as I am; - He is never late, He's always on time; - We never argue over which films to watch or where to sit. He let's me choose; - He always enjoys my company. He actually finds me delightful. Just before we were about to go in to watch the film, the usher told me they were having technical difficulties with that particular screen and they were going to cancel that screening. She said  I could either get a refund or exchange the

Speaking to Strangers

""Am I a God who is only close at hand?” says the Lord.“No, I am far away at the same time. Can anyone hide from me in a secret place? Am I not everywhere in all the heavens and earth?” says the Lord." Jeremiah 23:23-24 ---- At the Jazz Cafe gig, I said to my friend, who is in his early 60s, that I was surprised how many young people there were. He agreed with me. I nudged this young man in front of us, who was with his friends. "You're a bit young to be at this gig!" I said. "How come you know this band?" "Thank you for saying so, I'm not that young." He told me he was a saxophonist and he's known about the band for a while. After we chatted to him and his friends for a few minutes, my friend teased me about chatting to strangers. I reminded him how years ago while we were both walking down Oxford Street and we were trying to remember the name of a particular song, I stopped this random guy walking by and asked him; and

What is Love?

At church weddings I have attended, Ministers often cite a passage in the Bible from 1 Corinthians chapter 13 about Love, Christ Love. It is that Love that sustains a marriage or any t. Romantic love, which is based on the ego, is transitory and has no power at all to sustain a long term relationship. I guess that's why my relationships have failed as I thought I was in love until I stopped feeling love. I still have a lot to learn about Love, which is not solely based on feelings, but on being and living  Love in every moment. 😊 This is what that passage says about love: Love is patient.  Love is kind.  Love doesn’t envy.  Love doesn’t boast.  Love is not proud.  Love is not rude.  Love is not selfish.  Love is not angry or irritable.  Love is not resentful. Love doesn’t delight in evil.  Love rejoices with the truth.  Love protects.  Love trusts.  Love hopes.  Love perseveres. Love never fails. (1 Corinthians 13: 4-8) Thank you, God, for teaching me how to be Love.❤️

God's Favour - Funk Gig

This morning, as part of my prayer, I thanked God for His unmerited, unearned and undeserved favours. I was booked at this school today. While I was having a break at the staff room, I noticedI I was having problems accessing the Internet. A colleague told me they usually had problems with accessing Wifi in that part of the building. During my lunch break, I decided to step out of the building to check my phone as I didn't want to miss out on important emails or texts that I needed to respond to. I noticed a text from an old friend. He said he had a spare ticket for this evening to see this Funk band at the Jazz Cafe. Did I want to go with him? I told him I would love to and we made arrangements where and when to meet. Thank you, God, for Your unmerited, unearned and undeserved favour manifested as this gig at the Jazz Cafe.  I look forward to receiving more of Your favours. 😊❤️ Here's a video clip of me at the gig.

Living as a Believer

"...each person should live as a believer in whatever situation the Lord has assigned to them, just as God has called them." 1 Corinthians 1: 17 "The Spirit alone gives eternal life. Human effort accomplishes nothing." John 6: 63 (NLT) "Then He said to His disciples, 'The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Therefore pray the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into His harvest.'” Matthew 9: 37-38 ---- Christians are not all called to be apostles, prophets, pastors, evangelists, teachers or to only do church duties. Scripture  tells us that Christians are called to live as believers wherever they are. I don't believe working at schools is my calling. I was curious to work with kids as I've never worked with them before. As someone who has never had kids, I get to experience what it's like to be a mum.  Since I've been working with kids, I've discovered that I am very good with children not because of my charm

God Supplies Our Needs

(Previously postedon Facebook on 19.5.2022). "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Philippians 4: 19 ---- At the supermarket, I decided to get a meal deal for £3.50. I was told the sausage roll counts as a snack. I could get a main meal and a drink. I chose a sandwich and a bottle of Vimto, my favourite  drink. As soon as I came out of the shop, I started munching on my sausage roll. I thought there was no way I was going to be able to eat the sandwich on top of this roll! I had a thought, why not give it away? I  soon noticed this homeless man sleeping on the pavement. I woke him up and asked him if he fancied a sandwich. He said, "Yes, please!" I left the sandwich and the soft drink beside him, which he can have as breakfast when he wakes up properly.  Thank you, God, for providing both of us with a meal deal! ❤️

On Time

(Previously posted on Facebook on 18 5.2021). "My times  are  in Your hand;" Psalm 31: 15 ----- Now that lockdown has been eased further, I was wondering whether the libraries were now open and fully functional. I phoned my local library and I was told I could come in and work on my laptop, but users are only allowed a two hour slot. I booked a slot for 11 am. On the way to the library, I was pondering on God's allness and thanking Him for being the all. I then walked through this park. As I still had a bit of time, I stopped off to admire the trees and take some photos. When I checked the time on my phone, it was 10.48. Oh no, I'm going to be late for my slot! I hate being late for anything! I started walking really fast. I then told myself to calm down as it doesn't matter if I am slightly late as the slot will still be mine anyway. When I arrived at the library, there was this woman ahead of me speaking to the receptionist.  He gave her a form to fill in. She a

God’s Grace at School

Two days ago, a boy I was working with at this school had been very disruptive and taking his anger out on his peers and teacher.  I have been  secretly praying for him. I have also been thanking  the Holy Spirit for being with every pupil and member of staff. Today, while I was supervising kids in the playground at the same school, I heard someone shouting  "Miss!"  It was the boy from two days ago.  He ran towards me and gave me a hug and I also gave him a hug. There was another boy who had been sent to the quiet room because he wasn't listening to the teacher and was distracting other pupils. The next day, his teaching assistant was off sick so I covered her job. Although I had to keep reminding the boy to focus, he was good as gold and he did most of what was required of him. Thank you, God, for Your constant Grace. ❤️

My Full Lips

"I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, and that my soul knows very well." Psalm 139: 14 ---- This special needs boy I was working with for the first time kept staring at me. After a while, he said, "why have you got big lips?" "Because that's how my lips were made, just like you have blond hair and blue eyes." He seemed to accept that explanation. At least my full lips are natural and not man-made. 😀is 8i I give thanks for my full lips, which are fearfully and wonderfully made by God. ❤️

A God of Miracles

I've been reading a book called "The Case for Miracles: A Journalist Investigates Evidence for the Supernatural" by Lee Strobel. In the book, one professor the journalist interviews affirms "“It looks like God is still in the miracle business!” I have also been praying to experience God's miracles in my life. At the school I was booked at today, I was meant to cover a particular year but the manager put me with two special needs kids who were very challenging. As always, I thanked God for working through me. In one class I was working in, a pupil was called Miracle. She wasn't the challenging one though, thank God! 😊 My God is a God of miracles  Thank you, God, for constantly working Your miracles in me, through me and for me. ❤️

Holy Spirit

"...I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28: 20 "Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?" 1 Corinthians 6: 19 ---- At the healing conference, the Presence of God was very tangible.  I went forward for prayers. When a church member laid her hands on me and was  praying for me, the power of the Holy Spirit was making me sway like a boat on a river. I could even feel my legs going wobbly, but I stayed upright. I was then given guidance about something I had been dithering over. I immediately felt at peace about it. The moment I got on the bus with passengers, my eyes started watering and I was sniffing. I quickly reminded myself that I am surrounded by the Holy Spirit and He lives in me and I felt fine.  Thank you, God, for always being with me. ❤️

God Cares about My Earrings

"O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up.You know my thoughts even when I’m far away. You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord. You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand!" Psalm 139: 1-6, NLT ---- At the healing conference at our church, one of the worship singers was calling names out and giving words of knowledge as he was being led by the Holy Spirit. I noticed he called out my name, Susan, to let me know how much God loves me. I decided to leave before the worship service finished. Before I left, I thanked the Speaker for her inspiring talk and we exchanged hugs. I then walked to the bus stop, which is about 5 minutes away and got on the first bus. When I got off that bus, I had to walk a few minutes to t

One God, Many Channels

"Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’ Jeremiah 33: 3 ---- I was telling a friend yesterday that I don't look to my employment as the only source of my financial supply. I said God has many different ways to meet our financial needs. Later while  I was in bed, I was thinking of a Bible verse which I know is in Jeremiah, but I couldn't remember where exactly. I could have looked it up, but I couldn't be bothered. I decided to look it up another time. Early this morning, I switched on my laptop to watch some Bible study on GodTV UK with some pastors I follow, but the channel wasn't working. I tried the app on my phone, but that channel was working. I then switched to GodTV Australia and watched this singer being interviewed. I noticed they mentioned "stillness" which I had been meditating on yesterday and they even gave an interesting perspective of it. After that programme, I checked to see if

Alpha and Omega

(Previously posted on Facebook.on 12.5.2022). Early this morning, I listened to a Bible teaching about the importance of magnifying God with thanksgiving and praise. Later, while I was sitting outside eating a sandwich with crisps, I was thanking God for providing my delicious sandwich and the bottle of soft drink. I then noticed this van driving by with the Word "Omega" on the side of it. Very funny, God! I know you are the Alpha and the Omega!  😆👍❤️ ----- Relevant Bible verses: "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name." Psalm 100: 4 "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." Revelation 1: 8

Cooking Lunch

Image
I invited a friend round for lunch I can't remember the last time I cooked a proper meal. (I can cook, but I prefer not to). I knew I was going to need a lot of help. Before I started, I thanked God, for His Grace to buy the ingredients needed and to prepare a lovely meal for my friend and to share with my flatmate. When I started preparing the meal, I had my earphones on, but I found I couldn't focus so I took them off. Besides, I needed to keep the communication channel open so I could keep asking God, what next. God guided me every step of the way.  Thank you, God, for the meal that you lovingly prepared, which my friend, flatmate and I enjoyed. I'm even going to share some with my brother. ❤️ Here's a photo of the meal - Jollof Rice with chi7cken stew served with salad.

Grace

(Previously posted on Facebook on 7.5.2022( “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9) ---- In my early twenties, I lived in this big house share with four other housemates. Most of us were around the sane age. When this girl (who I'll call Mary) moved in, I had to drum it into her head that we not only have to buy cleaning products, we all had to take turns doing the household chores. Because I was friends with one of my flatmates, we used to cook together and share our food. One time after we had finished cooking rice and stew, Mary turned up and asked for some rice. We said no. Out of interest, I asked her what she was going to have with the rice and she said she was going to have some of our stew.  We laughed at her and reminded her that rent does not include free food. At the time, Mary was working at a local restaurant. The next time she came home

Mind of Christ

(Previously posted on Facebook on 7.5.2022) "For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? but we have the mind of Christ." 1 Corinthians 2: 16 ---- A Polish friend who has been living in the UK for about 20 years, took her kids to Poland recently. The last time she saw her family and loved ones back home was just before lockdown. She said during lockdown, one grandfather died and his widow injured her elbow. Because she was in her 90s and considered vulnerable, the medics refused to operate on her arm. They told her family, she will no longer be able to lift that arm. My friend said when she visited her grandmother in Poland, she noticed her grandmother was moving the "injured" arm freely with no pain.  My friend asked her grandmother how come she could still move her arm. Her grandmother, who has Alzheimer, had no memory of the injury.  Now that her grandmother had been reminded of the injury, she started having restricted arm movement.  My f

Receiving God’s Grace

(Previously posted on 6.5.2022). After I got on the bus, I heard the passenger behind me telling the driver that she couldn't find her card and asked if he could let her travel for free. I told her I was willing to pay for her fare. "You don't have to do that. If you give me your name and address, I could reimburse you." The bus driver believed her and agreed for her to travel for free. She then called her partner who told her he had borrowed her card but had forgotten to return the card to her wallet. I was so relieved for her. She thanked me again for offering to help her. Later, I thought how interesting it was that my friend had no issues travelling on the bus for free, but she wasn't comfortable  having someone pay her fare for her. What was she going to do, write a cheque for £1.65? If people can have difficulty accepting a free gift from someone they can see, they're not going to be open to receive Grace from a God they can't see. Anyway, I'm g

God’s Love Lifts Me Up

(Previously posted on Facebook on 6.5.2022). "He who does not love does not know God, for God is love." 1 John 4: ---- I woke up this morning thinking of how much my Father God loves me. He loves me so much, He sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, to die for me on the cross. I also thought about how Jesus loves me for so much he took on all my sins, pain, suffering and lack on the cross. I thought of the Love of the Godhead (Father/Son/HolySpirit), which fills the entire universe and beyond. (I'm obviously aware I'm not the only one Jesus died for).  Later in the afternoon on my way to a meeting, I popped into the local library to quickly charge my phone.  Just as I was about to sit down, I slipped and found myself on the floor. This woman on the other table came over and asked if I was alright. I told her I had just slipped. She grabbed my hand and lifted me off the floor.  I thanked her and sat down. Although I was shaken, I wasn't injured, thank God! While my pho

God Directsv My Steps

(Previously posted on Facebook on 6.5.2021).  "A man’s heart plans his way, But the Lord directs his steps." Proverbs 16: 9 ------- After I had performed my civic duty and voted at the local elections, I decided to take advantage of the dry  and sunny weather and go for a long walk. It was so warm, I removed my hat and scarf.  I thought I could get a sandwich and have it at the park. I also thought I might do my weekly grocery shopping on the way home but then I thought I'll do it tomorrow. Now that the decision was made, I headed to the store to buy a sandwich, but my feet had other ideas and was leading me in the direction of the park. I let my feet lead the way. I walked through the park and discovered another exit which led to the store I had planned to get my sandwich. Now that I was there, I decided to do my weekly grocery shopping. When I came out of the store, the weather was now a lot cooler with grey clouds. I put my hat and scarf back on.  I walked to the local

Playing Football

While I was supervising kids at the school playground, a boy kicked a ball in my direction. When I kicked the ball back to him, it felt like I had just kicked a rock and my poor big toe was in agony. The trainers I was wearing were cheap logo free ones that I bought for filming, as supporting artists/extras are not allowed to wear clothes or shoes with logos on set. They definitely were not made for kicking footballs! For the pain, I quickly reminded myself of my identity in Christ. After repeating to myself that "I am spirit" a few times, the pain dissolved. Later, I told a boy I had kicked a ball and I found it very painful. How do real footballers do it? He told me footballers wear trainers with steel toes. Now he tells me!  😀

Ask the Holy Spirit

In tonight's online Alpha Course lesson, we addressed how and why we should study the Bible.  The church Minister leading the course reminded us of the following Bible verse: "Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures." Luke 24: 45 (NIV) This was after Jesus was resurrected and he appeared to his disciples and even ate with them. This means before reading any passage in the Bible, instead of struggling to understand,  I can simply  ask the Holy Spirit to open my mind so I can both understand what I'm reading and how it relates to my current life experience. I am loving the Alpha Course. I highly recommend it. ❤️

Is Zeus Missing Me?

Image
On the bus into town, I noticed a van in front of us called Zeus  and I .wondered if this meant Zeus, my flatmate's cat, was missing me? Later in the evening when I got home, my flatmate told me Zeus had been asleep on my bed all day. Aww, bless him! Nice to know someone loves and misses me. ❤️

God Knows All Songs

Image
Last night, I was watching videos of songs from the 1980s. I thought of another video I wanted to watch, but I couldn't remember the song title or even the melody. I remembered in the video the singer was with three dancers. Nevermind, it will come to me! Today, I kept thinking of the song again but drew a blank. I decided to look up American, female,  Soul singers from the 1980s, but none of the names that came up rang a bell. After a while, I thought: "God, you know everything.  What's the name of the song I'm trying to remember?" Immediately,  the melody came to mind. As I hummed the melody, I remembered the chorus and the name of the song and the singer. The song is called "Fools Paradise" by Melisa Morgan. Wow,  God, You really do care about everything that concerns me, including songs I love! Thank you, God! ❤️

Healing Reminder

I woke up in the middle of the night feeling hot flushes. I asked God for help and the Holy Spirit reminded me of this Bible passage. "For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death." Romans 8: 2 When I went back to sleep, in my dream I kept hearing the same Bible verse. Yes and Amen!  Thank you, God! ❤️

Christian Fellowship

"For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.” Matthew 18: 20 "They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer." Acts 2:42 ---- When I entered the church, I saw this usher who I first met at the church's online Bible Study. At the time I had asked members to stand with me in prayer for my new home. The last time I saw him, he asked if I had found a place yet. I told him no. He promised to keep praying for him. When I saw him yesterday,  I told him I had found a place which meets my needs perfectly. He told me he was very happy as he has been praying for me every day. It's wonderful to know someone has been fervently praying for me. That's why it's important to be in fellowship with other Christians. I am really grateful for my  brothers and sisters in Christ.  ❤️

Pledging Allegiance

"It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in princes." Psalm 118: 8-9 "On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: KING OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS " Revelation 19: 16 ---- I like the royal family. When the Queen died, it felt like I had lost a grandparent, which she has been to the Commonwealth nations. I even laid some flowers at Green Park to pay my respect to her. I will definitely be watching King Charles' and Queen Camilla's coronation next week on television. Would I pledge my allegiance to King Charles, as the public are being asked to do? Before I answer let me digress. Just recently,  I was chatting to a friend who was saying how  resentful she was that part of our hard earned cash goes to sustain the royal family. Why do we still need them? I told her that as a Christian i.e. one who has a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ, I have a
